You think they'll actually have watches in the case available to look at? lolz.
Like i said before i think Rolex moving the opee to 41mm and making it half conservative colors, half bright-wonky colors was their swing at gathering up a ton of new buyer marketshare. Fully expect at least some of them to be in the case when I start sniffing around in november.

Funny you mention those models. My AD in upstate NY seemed to "Regularly" get a YG/SS daytona. And the Bluesie sub was also somewhat common.

Rolex piss me off with their manufactured scarcity. I’ve been wearing a Submariner as my primary watch for 15 years now and pull out the yachmaster on occasion but I just can’t justify the price and wait if new Rolex. None of them really excite me either. The only new model I really like Is the fluted bezel DJ41 with blue face and jubilee bracelet but for 10.5k I could get 2 really nice watches. If I was gonna for another Rolex which I probably will it will be a vintage 1983 my birth year Pepsi gmt or an old root beer gmt to put on light brown suede.
The Cellini moonphase is also really cool but for 20k you could get something crazy

Perceived as somewhat "grotesque" in corporate setting so i imagine the typical finance and IT bros aren't swooping in on the two-tones.

If I bought an Omega Grey Side of the Moon at msrp ($11,000) I'd lose $2,000 just by stepping out of the boutique with the bag in hand. I don't buy watches for flipping or making money off them, but it is a nice feeling that these wildly "excess" wants can be cashed in some day to get my money back.

I’ve pretty much came to the conclusion next Rolex I get (either regular black sub or BLNR) I’m just gonna get from crown and caliber or that DavidSW site. Not worth getting the run around from ADs, and I’d never be able to spend enough to get preferential treatment. And not really interested in the waiting list game. So if I have to overpay a little bit so be it I guess.
I really want a stainless Rolex. The two tone looks cool, but like you said it’s really limiting on when you should wear it. More of a night/weekend watch imo.

My old man paid $3500 for this Sub like 20 yrs ago it is nice to be able to flip it if I want for a huge profit not that I would.

These OPs got me wanting to go into the AD where I got my Bronze from to try on the seiko 4seasons collection again. From what I remember, market leading dial finishing, but the fit and feel of the bracelets were pure doodoo

These are what really is a nice little add to what rolex sells. It's nice to not walk out of a dealer paying thousands for something and it is worth 25% less the moment you walk out.

However, the time you wait going "im not going to play the game with an AD"….you could've been playing the game with an AD. To me, yes, i could go by the DJ and BLNR i want right now, off say DavidSW, but it's more of the principle behind it and a little bit of the chase. It also keeps me from spending the coin too. If i have to wait 6 months, thats 6 months of cash i have accumulated and invested.

That OP 41 Blue Dial sure is sexy. If I didn't have the blue aqua terra I'd definitely be interested in that one. The silver is a hitter as well.

Can confirm. The micro adjustment is great when it gets hot and muggy.

These new models are apparently already showing up in stores and should be everywhere else any day now. Not like Basel years where we have a 3-4 month delay. It might be a good time to swoop in now if you want a good shot at one.

Supposedly told them expect them to start showing up "very soon" after the announcement.

I have a 7.25 inch wrist. Only data point i can provide is Aqua Terras, as omega also plays this sizing game.
Last winter I went into the omega boutique and tried on the 38mm AT. Sales guy tilted his head and was like "ehhh, let's try the 41". We all agreed the 41 for my proportions looked way better.
Getting a kick out of the youtube/TRF outrage "39 wAs thE pErFecCT siZE!!", but i'm not going to sit here and pretend i think everyone is built like a manlet bulldog like myself so it does kind of suck for most people.

Just got back from my local Rolex AD. Tried on Datejust 36mm (blue dial, jubilee bracelet, smooth bezel). Overall, I liked it a lot and thought the 36mm looked fine on my wrist. Didn't pull the trigger because I want the silver dial version which they didn't have in stock. Also, want to think it over more.
Also, sales brah said I should hold onto my OP39 because apparently it was discontinued? I was unaware.
