I love how you seem to correlate skill level with knowledge. Brb if you're not challenger, you can't use simple logic to figure out whether something is stupid or not. Don't have to be a pro to understand that a level 2 gank with Nocturne is probably never a good idea and a waste of time.
I'm Diamond V and I don't think level 2 ganking is completely a bad idea if you play an aggressive early game jungler (IDK about Nocturne though). For one, most people expect junglers to gank after getting 2 buffs, thus estimating around 3 mins before they put a ward down. Another thing is that since most junglers are doing their jungle, you're less likely to get counterganked. The early levels also help to set the lane, where you give an immediate advantage to your laner.

It's true that it opens you up to counter-jungle, but I don't think most silver-gold junglers are at the level to punish that.

If he were talking about a jungler like Lee Sin or Shaco, he'd have a point. But it's f*cking Nocturne LOL. And that moron said Nocturne has a better level 2 gank than Xin LOL. Most bronze sh*t I've ever heard.

And btw, you have to at least be Challenger getting offers from pro teams in order to use logic and reasoning here.

LOL. Brb Xin Zhao has a gap close and a knock up, and you think that Nocturne somehow is the superior level 2 ganker? Are you really that bad? I said its easier with nocture,

but I now see how xin is better at 2 now if you start with q, but most of the guides and streams I've seen show starting with w, because obviously it has a much easier clear time. But yeah with a q and a e at first, you pretty much gonna prioritize ganking gonna slow your farm but obviously gonna make up for it with a successful gank

also I'm silver like you *******. Haven't played ranked this season yet though.

but you're still a glorious winged *******. I don't think anyone ITT or bodybuilding.com can say otherwise

Love how people complain about the community and say how annoying it is… just take a step back and look at the majority of posts ITT. *******s thinking they are better than everyone else. Elo in season 4 is in no way, shape, or form a bragging right. I am Plat IV-V and quite frankly dont doubt that there are plenty of gold level players that are just as good if not diamond level but can't climb just because of the sht community/ragers/dcers/afkers. Just to quote what im trying to say is a diamond 1 player that recently made this post on reddit.

So i just hit diamond 1.
And all i would like to say is, it was all luck. The "Don't rage, keep cool and you will improve" Is completely false, i do not consider myself to be a diamond player, maybe mid plat, but i got lucky a lot.
I had good team mates here and there. Like seriously it all comes down to which team has a troll/rager, which team has ping issues/who is dc'ing over and over, which players are more mechanically skillful, etc etc etc.
It's nothing like season 2 where it actually took skill to climb.
Just thought i'd get that off my chest.

Everyone shut the fck up and start helping people… not run around with your elo boner thinking you are on some pedestal.

@ Serb,

I'll agree that people shouldn't act so arrogant because they having a higher rating, but I'll disagree with that Diamond 1 post and the idea that people are held down in ELO Hell because of their teammates.

A 500-LP challenger actually made a response on Reddit to that thread, which sounds more true.

"The statement by that OP is completely false. If you play with a level head/rage free you can focus on what you're doing wrong each game. Because trust me, no matter how poor your teammates are doing, you can do things better. The reason i'm even bothering writing this post is because I was/still am at times, semi-toxic. I'm not toxic in a way which personally attacks people, but i had a HUGE problem with blaming people. And it kept me in diamond 1 all last season and the start of this season. As soon as my attitude and focus shifted towards positive things, i start to climb and still am climbing" (Reddit Post)

It's easy for someone to blame their teammates for their loss, but it's much more difficult for them to accept their mistakes and learn from them, especially when League can become frustrating. I agree that gold players often have similar mechanics to platinum or diamond players, however, the big difference is game knowledge and awareness which allows them to commit fewer mistakes and capitalize more on enemy mistakes.

There will be many games with toxic players, AFKs, DCs, DDOSs, but the amount of those games occurring won't prevent you from rising up if you truly belong in a higher bracket. I'm not a top-tier player, but I've gotten multiple accounts to Gold and Platinum with relative ease with high win rates.

To get to Diamond 1 with luck isn't very plausible in my opinion, especially after hundreds of games played. If he truly did not belong at that rating then he would have fell down a long time ago.

I know the point of your post was to emphasize that high rating players shouldn't be douchebags, but I found that Reddit post to be interesting, especially since it's commonplace for people to blame their team.

LoL was much different in Season 2. Oracles, no trinkets, higher first blood gold, more turret gold, no limit on wards, etc. Things which allowed a team to snowball hard if they got early game advantages, especially when it came to vision control. As a support in Season 2, there were games where I wouldn't die with Oracles, and kept the entire map warded and denying enemy vision entirely.

There are still games where a single player can get ridiculously fed and hard carry the team, but I think it's tougher now because it's much harder to snowball, and games are harder to close out, which leads to games getting dragged out which increases the potential for late game throws. Thus, the game seems to be a bit more team-based when it comes to late in the game where everyone becomes 6 items and being fed early doesn't matter much.

i only got into league towards the end of season 3, but imo i think trinkets was a really stupid idea.

I agree, I hate trinkets. People usually don't have to buy wards anymore because it makes laning so much more safer for free, and map awareness isn't required as much (it's possible to know where the enemy jungler or other lanes are without having wards to detect them coming through the river).

And for the free vision, it takes away some of the advantages of being ahead. Before, it took a lot of gold to buy wards and keep the map warded. Now there's sightstones and trinkets which remove the need for buying wards and your team will always have vision. It's nice that it allows people to focus on their builds, even supports, but I think it takes away from the game by making it easier for the losing team to keep up vision.

They have to come up with someway for people to move up rank without it being team dependant. Just went 8-4-6 on udyr when our top locks in darius and goes 1-6 and we have a blitz support with no wards and no hooks landed and a draven that goes 1-2 with 3 assists. Our Mid chases enemies into their jungle and dies. Like wtf am I suppose to do.

Brah its a team game. It's like saying there should be a way for a NBA player to win a championship without a team.

not even the same thing, theres a solo ladder that the sole dependency of you ranking up is the other 4 players being good.

Yes it's a team game but they should have something in place where your ranking isn't entirely dependant on w/l like it is now.

Like for support, they can use a formula where they have wards used/enemies detected, assists, gold earned ect…to all factor into ranking up. Losing would also be factored in but it shouldn't be the only thing that counts.

I am trying to decide if I should learn to play Teemo top. I was playing against a Garen top lane last night, I picked Shen, which I thought would be a decent counter pick. Boy was I wrong.

Shen gets countered against lane bullies with strong pressure. Garen can push the lane easily, whereas Shen cannot push back and will be forced to farm under turret, which is hard. Shen is more useful in late game though.

Teemo top is fun as you'll win most match-ups but he's more of a split-pusher, and not as good in teamfights which is why you'll see so many Teemos shroom around a lane and AFK push that for the entire game.

In that case, you're pretty much boned. If you have your entire team making poor decisions and not warding. I really don't think that one is winnable.

I used to main Teemo top before they nerfed the shrooms. IMO (inb4 someone criticizes me, only silver v so take it easy) he's still really good against certain champs like Garen, Riven, basically any enemy that relies on melee AA and doesn't have much of a gap closer. I still use him against easy counters. I just shroom the sides of the lane and I'm pretty much untouchable by ganks, letting me CS like crazy and push towers. Plus the enemy is usually too afraid to all-in me because of dem shrooms

Any league players in here that are legend in Hearthstone and looking to make some quick cash? Looking for someone to play on my HS account to get me the legendary card back. I average 6 wins in arena and have a 60% win rate ish in ranked so it's not that I can't do it, it's just I phucking hate ranked play cause it's so redundant and everyone uses the same decks.

I will reimburse you via gifting a bunch of league skins/lp stuff of your choice. PM me srs.

It matters that you don't just give up." -Stephen Hawking
