What are his philanthropy endeavors btw (srs). I see he purchased a strip mall and spoke about building low-income housing and investing in STEM.

Owning a strip mall is a worthy personal financial accomplishment but is it redemption for promoting gang violence? The latter would be very admirable if you're talking about programs across America.

But what I think critics are getting at is...the dude reaped what he sowed. Why not just do like Eazy and leave the gang/drug life behind and go 100% legit? Well the reason is that it was lucrative to be a Crip gangster rapper. But eventually you gotta make the call and do what's best for you. Clinging to your gang when you've made legit financial strides isn't it.

I think we should reacquaint ourselves with what makes a hero, and an evil-doer.

Nipsey seems to be neither. There's guys working day in and day out for bum money (or for free) to keep kids out of gangs, run businesses, and improve these violent communities. Unfortunately they'll never get the recognition or financial backing that Nipsey did. I'm sure they're selling a ton of clothes off his site right now.

That's why I think he's getting the usual celebrity privilege for every celebrity that dies. I'll say it's nice he at least had a positive message but he was trying to ride two different horses.

1. Miscer- Gives 5,000 to charity, owns a small business that helps the economy, doesn't break the Law.
