lol i knew the 28 day lockdown would accomplish nothing. I understand why they want the gyms and indoor dining closed but their decision making makes me seriously wonder…..

Ok so seriously I am glad you said this. When I was watching the news I was thinking the exact same thing. I was actually confused and REALLY frustrated because they are saying thing to make it sound positive, yet the numbers kept going up. Idiots!

Doood! How is you?!

You're in Ontario right? I don't get our politicians. I'm in Toronto and as Sooby said last night, they give press conference saying numbers are encouraging and they are doing this and that but at the very same time, the news keeps reporting record numbers of infection. I am not saying I want things to lockdown again, but clearly what they have been doing isn't working. I'm not a politician and i don't know what discussions are had but seriously - "this" isn't working. /rant

Hey CF. Yeah, in Toronto. I think politicians assume people take what they say at face value and don't think any further…"we're doing well" and having record-highs every day don't seem to go hand-in-hand.

Nope they don't. Because the politicians say one thing and the numbers of infection say something else, I have stopped watching the news.

With that said, I don't watch the news that much anymore either. But channels like CTV, Global, CBC upload videos on YouTube and I find it absolutely hilarious that anything to do with Trump or Coronavirus gets downvoted to high hell and all the comments. Actually, I think they just get downvoted anyways lol no matter what.

From what I understand only two unresolved cases in our area. I dont think shutdowns are the answer, getting people to stop overlapping "bubbles" is the problem, unfortunately you cant fix stupid. Sister in law comes over Saturday with her boyfriend who is from the GTA, have not seen them in person for months…we were in the backyard, she walks right in to our house when we did not answer the front door walks through the house and comes right out into the yard. I gave her short shrift so she left.

I moved. I now live in the woods. 23 acres of hunting and hiking bliss. Anyone want any beaver pelts? Bring the beaver fur hat back into style? Bear fur coat? White tail deer butt plug? No? Kden.

Haven’t seen any wolverines yet, but the rest are my pals. Along with deer, porkies, beavers and ducks because I have a pond. 2 beaver dams and 7 lodges so far on my property.

I figure if I make a tail buttplug out of every kill and sell it on Etsy, I’ll have a full freezer AND be rich. Beaver tails will be the trickiest but also the most lulzy.

Folks have been coming here for months from further west…from GTA and so on…renting homes…some of them are staying now… driving up the house prices to stupid crazy levels, funny how some can benefit in a crazy situation. The main roads going in to Prince Edward County were jammed even worse than normal on the summer weekends. Not what we are used to around here. Trying to talk my wife into retiring to south New Brunswick or Nova Scotia, house prices are so much lower there and so much quieter.

Real estate prices are out of control. I would have assumed COVID and the mortgage deferrals would have put a dent in GTA prices but I have seen some reports claiming >10% YOY growth. Unreal for us trying to buy a home, but great news for you guys who have your own.

I understand that condos are not moving and that there are plenty on the market. I would assume they are more downtownish where everyone is bugging out from. Maybe get a deal now and profit later when that market is up again…and it will be. This happened in the 90s as well but for different reasons, condo market was saturated for years with depressed prices.

I wouldn't mind a downtown condo just because I have to work downtown though. The commute just kills me. As soon as work ends it's a mad rush to gtfo. Seems like every 5min delay adds another 5 mins to the travel time. But still even a 30 min walk, on the opposite end of downtown from my work, still $400k for a tiny condo.

I have a couple of friends looking for a house in the Oakville/Burlington area and everything they like is selling for at least $70-$80k over asking and some went for $120k or more.

It's absolutely crazy looking at the housing market in the GTA.

I live in oakville in the more "affordable" area where towns are selling under 800k. Everything is selling 100k above asking. The only part of the market that's semi slow here is 1.6million + and condos.

I've seen the Toronto commute lol. Really impressive. Vancouver is only 1/3 the size but just done really poorly. Like the lights are timed for going into downtown until probably 4 or 5

Doug Ford is a fukn clown

October 31st: We have some encouraging numbers that people will be happy to hear! (despite cases and deaths going up), gyms will open up again on the 7th as long as some other things

November 6th: Nope nevermind, we're actually going to postpone it a week, but in the mean time let us announce some other restrictions!

November 13th: Okay your gyms and restaurants can open again, but maximum of 10 people

November 20th: trololol, your gyms and restaurants are closed again after only being open for a week, meanwhile all the beer stores are open if you feel the need to get drunk and kill yourself

fukn lol @ this clown city, I need to get out of here srs

Why study and work when it's all about RealEstateMaxxxing? I should've became a RE agent and got into that racket instead of spending 6 years in school, srs.
