This is why I'm not selling the stack of ICX I have right now. Mainnet launches the 24th, move it to a cold storage wallet asap and forget about it. This market is ready to explode, new money can't even get in and total market cap is still going up.
I'm tempted to buy some ICX. I'm holding none. What's the prediction on it long term?

This is an important point. Especially in this young market where so much bullish acicity exists.
I was holding dash bags for a while, then sold the bags and put the funds into kuckshares before it took off.ecen though dash is slowly climbing back, It was badass decision to board a rocket with an earlier liftoff time.

Dunno about anyone else but hodl for me is like a year max before re-evaluating, and also paying attention to news/developments in case there becomes a good (non-FUD) reason to sell early.

My ultimate setup is gunna be a couple of long holds stashed away and another stack of btc used for trading.

We aren't that close bro, we don't even have competent finely tuned exchanges to allow a free easy flow of money into the market and also institutional money, skeptical sideline money and a lot of older (65-75 y/o) money haven't gotten in yet.

Well people have been looking at market caps and the way the market is growing and throwing numbers around like $100, $200, $270 by end of year... basically the next NEO. But dyor obviously, I think ICX is amazingly undervalued considering how real it is vs some of the vaporware currently in the top 10. All it needs is a little bit of time on the hype train and it'll blast off but it's just a question of getting a seat.

And things can change too, I think we'll be able to make a more accurate call in mid-Feb.

Sitting on this xlm has been so painful for the past 4 days now, it's about 70% of my portfolio, considering breaking even on about half of it to go out and make some money elsewhere

I agree. I've done research on it. I had a small stack and sold at a profit. I'm sitting on a chunk of TRX and XBY I'm thinking of rolling into ICX.

TRX I'm not sure of anything about it anymore. :-(

By then we will likely all be too rich to care.
We're not early investors like the guys into this from 2008 etc. BUT we are early enough that when things are simplified and huge money starts coming in we can all cash out and retire. :-)

The people that worry about whatever event will cause this "bubble" to pop, and need an exit strategy...my question is do you genuinely believe this entire market will be regulated to the point of shut down/no liquidity, or do you just think 90% of coins will go solvent? I'm in the latter camp...I definitely think crypto is saturated with chit coins which will eventually work itself out, but if you are in genuinely good products/teams I don't think the bubble talk should be as scary.

I think cryptocurrencies are beginning the move to mainstream integration, but there will definitely be a lot of casualties along the way. That's why I'm mainly hodling utility tokens; they fuel products/service, not just one of 8 million privacy coins.

Dear Diary
Look at the .com boom. Every company who had ".com" in their name MOONED. Amazon stock went from $2 up to $100 in 2 years, crashed, and didn't see the $100 share price again until 2009..... 7 years down. I can 100% see this happening to crypto. Not to mention the hundreds of defunct .com companies which died in that same era.

It will happen eventually. Wall street will definitely cause less volatility, which means no more insane gains for us =(

I know some guys who made their money in the .com boom and are still riding on it now because they understood the game and got out before it collapsed. We have to do the same thing.
