Lake City explosion was in a mixing room, not on production line. RIP factory worker.

Should be that way for 3 plates soon I hope.Single prong. I'll be using it for DL's mostly.....Usually only belt up for anything over 275 on squats.

Also just to say, when I did that 365lbs x1 I waited and thought about how that went, like speed and resistance on my lower back and knew a couple of 10's on each side wasn't going to wreck me. This also wasn't a TRUE 1RM attempt. I could possibly grind out 430lbs+ but there's no need. I just felt thick, tight and solid for this attempt today.

Think about that for awhile, maybe load it up and look at it, take it back off...and the 3 plates won't seem bad, you'll be fine.

About halfway through me filling out the 4473 he just started going off on me about buying guns online, he ain't selling guns any more, all he does are transfers, etc. It looked like his inventory was down a good bit, and my guess is he may go out of business soon. I can understand his frustration but a $35 transfer fee is perfectly reasonable for the work put in. I've bought at least five guns directly from him and done at least a dozen incoming transfers. I try to support local business but I can't justify paying $100 more for the same exact gun. His base Shield with plain sights was $395.
I'm done buying guns of course but even if something came up I think I'll avoid him from now on. Kinda sucks.

That's how I finally broke through a 3 plate squat. That and motivation from watching Eric Boogeyhagen videos. Fukin savage.
225lbs 3x5 is not weak. Actually I'm about where you are in terms of sets of 5's. I did 6x5 of 230lbs back in mid Feb. That last set was in gods hands lol. Since then it's been pretty much working to top sets of 5,3 or 1 with some back off work like 2's or 3's.
I don't know why squats wreck me so much, even compared to the deadlift. I guess certain lifts affect people in different ways and most say the deadlift is the most taxing. For me, just the thought of having to work through a 5x5 or even 3x5 of squats makes me wore out, let alone the work lol.
Considering where I am now in about 1.5 years of lifting, I wish to fuk all I started when I was younger. I should have a horse kick me in the nuts. But better to try now then not at all.

Wikiarms said they had .45 ACP for $0.08/round. Went to check that out and of course it had to have been a typo, cause the cheapest was like $0.18/round

I shot in Rio Salado Spring Steel match on Sunday. I feel that I did good relative to myself, I'm happy with my performance. A bit more practice and iron out a few things, then I think I can be competing for top 3 spot in Production.
Placed 7/28 in Production. I had one miss (+5 seconds), had I not missed that, I would've been 6/28. Then from there I was within a few seconds of the guys in places 3-5.
I won $50, big money! ... it paid for my match entry fee though, so that's good haha

I love the texture on the .45 Shield (EDC for me). I ended up putting rubberized grip overlays over it. That grip is great for shooting but man is it rough on the skin, and clothing wants to stick to it etc. I bought my grip overlays on Amazon for $10.50

Anyone in the Silverdale, or Seattle region of WA? I'm heading up there in a few weeks, and looking for a place to shoot. Problem is it seems everyone requires a membership, and the wait is substantial.

Use good loading data and working up loads and you will be impressed when you find the sweet spot for each gun. I buy finished brass (swaged) from tactical brass in FL. All Lake city and cheapest I have found for the quality. I'm lucky enough to have a nearby range where an old guy pics ups, sorts and tumbles the range brass and sells it cheap. I have also bought brass cheap on Etsy but you have to find the right deal. Good luck. Reloading is the only way to go IMO. Even 9mm is about 1/3 cheaper than the best deals you can find. Get into .45 and .44 and it really adds up.

I got 1000rds of 9mm CCI Blazer for $191 shipped a couple of weeks ago from laxammo. Ordered on a Wed afternoon, it was at my doorstep 2 days later Friday morning. For some reason it was free shipping for me even though I have ordered from them a few times before.
https://www.laxammo.com/handgun/9mm-...mj-5200-detail
I was using Speer Lawman 124gr, which was great, but the middle of last year it was upwards of $240-250 shipped via sgammo. I've put about 4k rounds of the CCI Blazer through my CZ over the past 6 months and have had 0 issues.

Pretty good price, the good stuff like Lawman or American Eagle isn't always available at TST retailers like SGA in 147gr. The 124gr Lawman is $210 shipped at Target Sports though...now I have another tab open to stare at lol

I look for 147gr because I often carry standard pressure 147gr and like to do some practice as well as function testing with as similar a round as possible (without paying for so many JHP).

I've been doing PPL and it's going pretty good, making small weight increases a couple times a week or less depending on what my body is telling me

That's what I was doing (I carry 124 +P gold dots), but I want to save $20-30 per case by going with the CCI Blazer 115gr because I been going through a case per month (roughly). Why is this stuff good to get, is it for plinking or a good STHF general purpose round?
Also, IIRC; Angus Hobdell (CZ Custom) was telling me something like the bullet weight will make a difference in accuracy depending on your barrel. I might have made that up in my head though, but I know a lot of USPSA Production dudes reload their 9mm with 125 or 130ish grain projectiles.
