I wouldnt overthink showing off too much. The amount of people who actually notice my AK or speedy is miniscule. He may just not be a WIS given his honesty about "american" shinola. Hell even at work, im not some wall street banker, and work around people constantly who arent as fortunate as i am. Those that have noticed, or really have said something, have been more intrigued and wanted to see it because they never really have.

- Whenever i find myself typing out a lengthy response, i copy and paste into a google doc or note pad first THEN I hit post. If it blows up and i have to try another browser i don't have to retype the whole fuking thing.

- I don't know if I would ever go through my AD for tudor purchases. Because i'm not sure that would even count as relevant spend to work up the priority list. No more than me just being likable to the SAs anyway. You can find FAR better discounts on watchrecon and jomahshop. The tudor chronograph is $7,000 retail but i've seen it list on grey close to $5,000. Don't think i could get THAT steep a discount from an AD

- I'm gonna bust out that rolex hat for the lulz somewhere at some point but i havent decided where.

Don't have to convince me. I almost had a Longines instead of an Oris for my first watch, but as I was agreeing to earlier with the powerranger fellow, ultimately you want your first significant watch spend to look substantial or "cool", so I went with the oris chronograph.

I was looking at the Longines railroad or whatever it was called. At the time, I was taking a lot of "eurostar trains" seeing pretty stunning european railroad hubs like Gare Du Nord, and St. Pancras Station on a somewhat regular basis and I thought that would be a cool watch to have to remember that time in my life.







And honestly… now that i'm looking at this again i may try to source one. It appears they've discontinued this model and this was the very first watch I became obsessed with so I might have to circle back and get it.
