Yeah the YG champagne/white dial is probably the most classic DD. Tell your friend to tell his AD i'll take the RG Olive lol

That pretty much killed my interest. In some shots i saw online, the green looked darker and more subdued but in person it seemed a touch too "playful" if that makes sense? The pairing with the everose probably puts an entirely different spin on it though.
Yeah the everose does make it pop for sure. green dials seem to be in fashion these days. one green dial watch that hasn't been as popular is the 40th anniversary GMT one (discontinued i believe). Think it will only be a matter of time before it becomes popular. Seen it in person and it's loud as fuark. Screams "come rob me"

And that's exactly why I was eyeing up the full everose (126715) rootbeer for my BIG purchase piece. I was always "meh" on the TT Rootbeer. But the black/brown bezel on the full everose bracelet is the perfect balance of under the radar, while providing some pop with the polished center links. This watch wasn't on my radar at all, but the manager brought it out the back room when i picked up my piece to share her grail. I was shocked the sl00t had such good taste. The extra pop of the polished center links is lost in this photo, but I fuking love this model in person. Such a lowkey fuk-you piece.

Just scooped up a Yach Master 37mm as an engagement gift for my girl.

Second purchase this year from Bellagio Rolex. Asked for Daytona and/or BLNR. No timeline given.

Lady was nice, she gifted my girl a Rolex pen with an 18k white gold crown. I got a MEASLY hat.

Wear what I want and don’t give a fuark what others think crew. I don’t wear a watch to show off.

Same. I want a BLNR but damn this is such an understated piece. The RG is gorgeous. Low key 35k on the wrist.

When I picked up my DJ, there were 3 or 4 DD40s in the cases but they were the higher end more exotic stuff. One was a meteorite dial. For my brand of style i'm starting to feel like i'm more drawn to the DJs and DDs. I love the fluted-roman numerals on the DD40, as opposed to the traditional romannumerals on the DJ. I didn't think I could ever like roman numerals more than the more minimalistic stick dial but these are absolutely mint.

Yup. Agreed on the numerals on the DJ vs DD. Don’t like the ones on the DJ but the DD looks clean. And I get the same vibe from the AD I go to. Feel like a DD is basically an order and get it. But. They do have a number per year they can order based on the config. Just guessing they based on what my AD has said.

Rolex hat masterrace.

Might have fuked yourself by asking for a daytona OR a blnr. that's kind of like saying "I'll take a Patek Calatrava OR a Nautilus". Depends on how sensitive your AD is I guess. I wouldn't want to compete with Vegas buyers but then again i'm not exactly in a small market myself so who knows.

Women get to spend exorbitant amounts of money on hand bags and heels. I like that men get their own socially acceptable genre of splurge jewelry. Can confirm women only care about looks. They'll look right by a daytona which most watchcels would give their left nut for and get greedy eyes over a Datejust because they recognize the jubilee bracelet and fluted bezel.

As for rolex being a signal to her that you need to spend more money on her… well, that only matters if you're messing with a woman who doesn't come from a financially sound situation herself. If you're looking for a partner and not a stupid trophy wife it shouldn't be an issue.

Pretty much this. It's mostly watch people that notice, and that's the way I like it. I don't want the whole world to be staring, like the Rolex "come rob me" hat.

Speaking of which, I was blowing off work looking at stock and watch pics. and I found the two together. Yeah… definitely one of them is screaming "come rob me" more than the other.

Yeah RG in general is more understated than yellow.. pair that with the green dial and you have probably the loudest non-gemset Rolex. I only say the "come rob me" phrase half-joking because it's actually a serious problem in places like London.

Possibly this. The guy at my new AD has dropped hints that they ask what you’re interested in and offer you stuff to see if you just bite on anything because you’re a flipper. Give concrete answers to what you want. I flat out told mine I wasn’t really into the ceramic bezel Daytona. Definitely seemed more chatty after I said that and started dropping more hints or being more “open.” Could be a sales tactic, who knows. It I’ve had similar experiences in two different ADs.

On the topic of the DD40 talk I stopped by an AD today and they had in the window the yellow gold/champagne dial DD40, full yellow gold skydweller (that’s one chunk of gold!) and the steel/rose YM2, was actually surprised to see any of these as it’s usually pretty much just ladies watches in stock!

Also tried on the new 41mm bi-metal sub, first time seeing the new proportions in person and must say it wears very well, doesn’t feel any larger on wrist IMO. Another case of pictures making a watch look huge lol

The general response to rolex changes are always the same. Outrage followed by a frenzy to acquire. Makes no fuking sense.

Those new 41OPs sold like fuking hot cakes though. Can't even get an AD to show me one kept in "the back room" because VIPs are picking them up the day they arrive.

https://www.wolf1834.com/offers/black-friday?p=4

70% off with code "earlybird" on that sale stuff.

I just got my order…forgot to post this before. You also get a "free gift" with a $50 purchase. I don't remember if it was the same as it is now, which says only with regular priced chit, but it let me select a $209 real leather watch roll (actual price, no bait and switch) as my free gift. Cost more than my entire order lmao. Wolf is a legit brand in case you're unaware.

Check out the gray dial with blue hands/markers on the non day version…hnnnng. Not sure if they make one in day/date combo.

https://www.fratellowatches.com/omeg...7-review/#gref

The blue is MUCH darker in person.

Story time.

Stopped by my AD to wish them a merry christmas, they had a white faced sky dweller in the back that i got to fondle. Funny story, it had a small problem…the date couldnt be adjusted. They had talked to their rolex rep, and he was going to send it back but the AD was nervous about it because it was an allotted piece and they were worried they wouldnt see it again. So i could've bought it, and just called in the warranty the next day. It wore great for a 42mm watch and was shockingly lite for as big of a watch as it is. Felt lighter than my Air King. To be honest, if it were a black dial or blue dial i would've snagged it. It's such a neat piece in person, but white just looked…plain?

Repped. Don't have enough watches to justify some of the rolls, winders, and exotic cases. However, i was meaning to get a decent storage box for all of my cologne samples, and travel atomizers.

Picked up this Vaxholm Large Box. Should work quite well

Change the self defeating mindset to one of hustle, big thinking, and action and you can get one in 3 years or less.

Was quoted 3-6 months by my AD but the guy ahead of me had to pass so was able to get it a few days before Christmas. Wasn't really prepared and had most of my funds tied up in stonks, so had to liquidate some to fund it and going to get cap gains taxed up the ass. Didn't want to pass up the opportunity though incase prices and demand kept going up (going 20-30% above retail right now).

This was me when i got my DJ. I went in and requested the blue or white dial smooth bezel first week of november. I was under the impression it would take a month or two.

AD hit me like 2.5 weeks later, only for me to get there and realized I wanted the rose gold sundust with fluted bezel instead. So I went from a $7,950 datejust to a $13,000 Datejust. All of my other cash was in stocks and crypto as well so I just put the extra 5k on a credit card and paid it off two weeks later.

Feel free to spam pics of the rosegold bracelet in different lighting. I'm pretty set on getting the 126715 in the next year and a half or so.

Change the self defeating mindset to one of hustle, big thinking, and action and you can get one in 3 years or less.
I appreciate the inspirational talk but I will never make enough money to justify a $15,000 piece of jewelry. I'd have to be making $500k+ and at my stage in life its just not in the cards. Some of y'all are seriously wealthy as fuk and I could never pretend to keep up, even with a rollie on the wrist.
