They were also kind enough to let me try on my grail piece because they had one in back for another client. Really do love the rose gold gmt

So I get this email from Dillards that says 30% off basically everything. Search for Casio; no discount. So I check Men's accessories and it's like 75% masks in the category. This is why I wear a watch.

Trust me though, the AD laughed at the thought of me wearing the 36mm because it would just looked obnoxiously out of proportion with the rest of my body.
I’m inclined to enjoy the 36-39mm range. Anything above that feels bulky. I have 7.5 in wrist, 6 foot 200 lbs.

THe hilarious thing to me about a DD is how "low key" it is in person.

Most people would have zero clue you've got a $40k+ watch on thy wrist.

The bracelet is a giveaway to watch people, but otherwise yeah I don't think anyone would know.

I thought of a new likely scenario for my collection. I was mentioning wanting to pay grey for the sky dweller because I personally think it is worth the grey market price rather than the msrp. Then I realized you can get the white or black dial sky dweller MUCH closer to retail than the blue dial.

So I was thinking of selling my sundust, picking up the DJ41 in stainless steel with the blue dial and then eventually getting the sky dweller grey in the white dial. The rose gold gmt will obviously be a black dial, and i would be thoroughly happy with that as a 3 piece collection with maybe the green dial aqua terra as an under the radar piece.

6'1 220 and my wrists are only 7.25. my hands are huge though and anything 36mm almost looks girly.

Definitely. Same thing with my AK. No one really notices it unless they actually look, very close, at the dial. Why i tell people all the time on the forums that it is nowhere near as "busy" in person and the color on it actually is very well muted.

Sounds like you need to go visit your AD again.

Same goes for me…been a few weeks. And he's always fun to chat with.

I'm 5'8" 194lbs lol. So yeah with you being more elongated i can see how a 39 would be a good sweet spot on you. I'm on dat der stocky manlet time so i can push it to 42mm without looking full potato. I don't mind my tudor bronze being 43mm it's the case thickness that's currently bothering me after owning the DJ.

On one hand i want to sell it and replace it with a green aqua terra as my "beater". But fuk man, I bought it a week after Kobe died in the beginning of 2020. Plus I had my first threesome with it on. How can I sell away those memories?

Since I just saw her, i'm just going to e-mail her and tell her to put me on the list for the blue dj with fluted bezel. As soon as I get that one, i'll sell the sundust. That blue dial is just too fuking HNNNG and I'd rather get it for retail on the DJ and only paying 5k markup on a skydweller. Much better than keeping the sundust and paying a fuking 12k markup on the sky dweller.

I'm going to miss the rose gold two tone bracelet though. I've grown quite fond of it.

Reminded her that I was originally interested in blue on smooth bezel and that the fluted one would be great to have for the summer time.

"Nice seeing you again as well! I might have one.. lemme fight for you on this. It’s a difficult piece but I think I can pull some strings.. and it would be perfect for spring. I sold this exact one to my client last year right around spring and he mentioned how gorgeous it is in the sun. I’m on it."

lets hope those $40 cocktail giftcards come through… lmao

You won't be so bummed when you go to pick it up, and instead of having to drop 10 grand you only have to put up 5.

It's funny, we've got 3 guys itt going after the same model so my instinct is to be put off by owning something "everyone else" has, but I still have yet to see anything other than Subs and seadwellers in my city. Haven't seen a single datejust and i'm usually at the shwanky expensive places where you think you would definitely see one.

Mirin that DD40. I love the bracelet, it fit straight out the window when I tried the 60th anniversary a few years ago I didn't want to take it off. Didn't have that sort of coin to drop on a watch at the time though. If BTC gets a rocket up its ass to 6 figure then i'd consider it lol

I told her i'm already gone but i'll fly back if need be. $40 cocktail gift cards for the win.

I’ve never sold through them. General tip though-I don’t know what the offer is, but you’ll rarely get anything close to what people offer in private sales. Rolex forums, Omega forums, and watchuseek will typically give you a better return. Just be wary of scammers.
