Trying not to overreact to week 1 but the Verrett injury is terrible news. Plenty of positives that will unfortunately get overshadowed by some negatives because of how the game ended.

If anything I'm glad they have some stuff to be mad about after the game. But clearly we need to improve on some things. If we can stay healthy hopefully they can do that. I'll be at the game next sunday cheering hard for the win.

1-0 is 1-0 gotta try and keep the train rolling.

My only complaints is how we let up at the end. Not sure what was going on defense but they pulled a few guys to rest which resulted in them getting beat. Even more and what I do not like about Kyle is that he seems to go very conservative at times. The second half of the game he let off the gas. He needs to play to win and keep it going period….

Also think about this.. If we did not get a pick 6 and everything else stayed the same we could have lost or potentially went into OT.

I kind of disagree. 2 fluke plays got Detroit back in the game. The onside recovery which almost never happens and the Deebo fumble where he had the game sealed if he would have just got tackled. Any 1 of them plays didnt happen we'd won by 14+ points

I dont think Kyle was too conservative, i just think the Lions defended the run a lot better in the end. Mitchell was tearing them up and then suddenly he was getting stuffed. Probably should have went to Hasty at that point but running the ball was the right call especially when it was working really well and we were up.

True as well… I think overall it was their first game and will figure things out. Either way it was a win and football is back.

It's Mostert. No one should have expected him to stay healthy the whole year

Sermon will be our main RB

I'm pretty concerned. The fact we couldn't stop the run was a big redflag. I hope Kinlaw gives us a big boost there. Verrett is obviously a huge loss. I don't have a lot of faith in Josh Norman but lets hope he can have a career resurgence. I expected the defense to regress a little bit without Salah but it was way worse than I expected. This team isn't good enough offensively to win without an elite defense. Mosert shouldn't impact the 49ers too much because anyone can join the 49ers run game and go for a 100 yards and a TD. I hope we see Sermons for fantasy reasons, though.

At the end of the day, a win is a win but I was terrified of the Goff-Cesphus (spelling?) connection up 8. That is never a feeling you should have with an elite defense. However, if this team ever has to win in a shootout it's comforting to know we spent 3 first-rounders on a backup QB. Down 2 with 2 minutes left in the 4th, it's really refreshing to know we can always look to the sidelines and see an absolute monster holding the clipboard.

Such a potato of a sequence of events those last few minutes, but glad we got the W. Seriously not worried about not having Mostert, but like you guys said, our defense is kind of looking a bit suspect.

We can put Gore behind the line right now and still run the ball well. Losing Verrett sucks but hopefully Lenoir keeps playing well and Mosley comes back and plays decent. Really it’s going to come down to Kinlaw. He needs to be in the middle stuffing those runs we were getting killed on. And if he can rush the passer just a little our defensive line will more than make up for our corners being less than ideal.
Horny.

I'm not as concerned about the defense right now as it was game 1 and assuming they stay healthy-ish I think they find there form sooner than later. They had a pick 6 early, two early stops, and until the last two minutes basically they were fine and the end of the game was flukey. Yeah they gave up some runs but held scoring wise for the most part until the game got weird. One game against a team we couldn't really game plan much for, DC first real full game, and first game of the year. I say we give it some time before we start calling it for the defense. Week 1 overreactions gonna happen let's give it some time and see what they're really about.

Greenlaw out until November

Verett out for year

Aiyuk hurt/in the doghouse

Mostert out for year

Hurd shut down for a couple weeks

Who’s next? My guess would be Deebo, he’s due.

Was at the game Sunday, no doubt was a rough environment for the offense with it being so loud especially early. They should have played better but managed to hang in there. Was good to see the team not give up and stick with it, even if it wasn't the prettiest win, they got it done and that's all that matters.

We gotta stay healthy, especially at RB **** is crazy rn. I'm looking forward to home opener vs the pack, I expect us to look much better.

As of now I am going to the game this Sunday, the Colts game October 24th and the Texans game Jan 2nd. I guess it pays to have a buddy who's work has season tickets!

I will do my best! I should clarify 2 of these games are my buddy bringing me and some friends, the other was bought.. Not like it makes a difference. I am just happy that I am going to 3 games. I feel a little bad for my wife and kids but oh well…. It isn't every day I get to do this.

No idea, Shanahan's Offense gives RB's a ton of space to run and decide outside as well. It's just terrible luck. Team is playing ugly, nasty football, and the injuries are insane.

Just hoping Jeff Wilson comes back looking good.

49ers are an example of why you shouldn't invest too heavily in rbs. But even then, like you guys said, these clusters of injuries are crazy.
