Well, no, they won't, because they'd probably get attacked or fined or arrested as "price gougers", better they not do that because it's better they not bring water at all, than do so and charge market price.

This is real life, no textbook required (although as it happens there are books written by economists that do a very good job articulating and illustrating this)

Or, back to the retailer example, just charge more than the regular price and the result will be that more different people get some, because fewer people will buy more than they need 'just because' or 'just in case', due to the higher than usual price...

No, you actually have the opposite with FEMA, volunteers, companies, etc inundating the area with supplies as fast as possible, because they aren't dicks.

If thats true then the higher price sellers won't sell anything anyway because fema will have a better offer so what's the problem with allowing them to offer the higher price? Ton of things would make that potable. Just boiling it would work. or putting it in a clear bottle out in the sun for a few hours.

I must need to try some more of these pop tarts. I've always liked the fruit flavors (including strawberry) and the brown sugar cinnamon. Used to get the variety pack, which I think was strawberry, blueberry, and brown sugar cinnamon.



Now I'm almost wanting a little weather here so that I can have an excuse to crush poptarts and booze for a few days.

Yeah theres a difference between water filters and water purification.. those lifestraws are just a low grade filter that will catch stuff like giardia and hopefully ecol i, but I wouldnt count on them to be able to catch or kill parasites. really dank standing water needs to be boiled and possibly chemically purified to really be safe- I guess Id take my chances if I was dying of thirst and only had a lifestraw, but no way Id count on one of those as a main water purifying device in non life threatening situations.

Anyone watch the apple event?





Hnnnnnnnnnnnnng that new Apple Watch has amazed me. Brb ECGs, calls a number immediately if you’re unresponsive, detects if you’re about to fall, let’s you know if your heart rate is abnormally low or high.


New iPhone is an upgrade from my 7 plus, but lol @1099 starting for a 64gb and 1249 for a 256 gb.



IN. 5 new phones for the family, a watch for me, and convince my dad to get a watch for him/grandma since it’s sad how hard she’s struggling and how old she is. Can’t help but think of how sad it is at times.


Brb I feel bad for walking out on the business and basically forcing him to attend now. Can’t be around his mom nearly all day anymore and the thought of something happening to her and how he finds out especially if he’s not around isn’t pleasant.

I prep with the military 5 gallon water jugs, a big Berkey, beans, chili, freeze dried food and MREs. O peanut butter too. Then lights, flashlights, batteries, medical, guns and ammo. The basics.
