I said unless the price jumped up recently. The Mayors in the mall near me has had them in twice last year when I walked through and I saw one in Vegas in the Caesars Palace mall about 16 months ago.

I tried it on twice and didn’t like it either time. Too wide or something where the bracelet meets. I thought they were 17k

$13,550 + tax, bought from an official dealer. Wasn't aware that paying with cash could potentially yield a small discount. In hindsight, I find that hard to believe in the current market since these watches get scooped up so quickly.

Also kind of regret not buying from a place like WatchguyNYC.. could've gotten it for $13,800 no tax if I did a wire transfer, but then I believe that's not an AD

Edit: I found a tiny scratch on the bottom of the clasp. Worth making a fuss over?
Damn man nice. You use some stonk money for that? That’s like a Modern day Patrick Bateman style Rolex. Could have got some more SPACs

I want another watch but I’m fighting off the urge. Need all my coin for stonks and I was talking to an AirBNB Co host today about potential properties near Disney which would be like an 80k invesrment(60k down on 250k home +20K furnishings, gonna make it Disney themed and put in some arcade machines)

If CCiV announces and hits like 120 I think it would be celebration time though with a 4-5k piece(El primero, nomos worldtimer, or iwc Portuguese)

I have a bad feeling about CCIV though. Don't think its normal to take this long after rumor.

That would prob be one of biggest bag holdings ever if it tanked. Praying it works out and hits QS/NKLA levels so I could dump and use capital elsewhere. I spent 11 hours today reading about Spacs and have a list of like 7 I’m going to go hard on SCVX TWCT to start

A sundust dial is a sunburst dial, so it might be some labeling thing. Call RSC and they should be able to tell you what it is with the serial. I think you're good assuming the watch is legit. There is no silver dial available on the DJ41.

EDIT: not available on the TT RG 41.

Sweet. Good choice, that’s a nice watch. I probably need to pop into my AD next week and maybe I’ll get lucky and they have something.

Hopefully you showed interest in other watches while you were there, and acted like you were gonna be a big buyer. They might hit you up if they got a rare model in. If you didn’t I’d go back and thank them again, and I wouldn’t mention that small scratch on the clasp. Relationship with the AD is the most important thing.

Edit- walked into work today and my Dad is looking at Daytona’s online. He’s been rocking the same breitling for like 25-30 years. Tried my best to talk him into pulling the trigger on the steel black or white dial, he was looking at a gold one. But he held off since he’s remodeling his house…but I think I got the idea planted in his head.

Holy crap guys. Went into the AD just to look. Met the owner and we talked a bit and he told me to hold on. He went in the back and broought out an all steel black seadweller. Had to get it.

So freaking excited. Thanks tug of peace for putting the idea to run by in my head.

fuark, post pics

Also, all these DJ41 posts have me thinking the stainless steel version with the rhodium grey dial would be the ideal complement to my two tone blue sub, something for when I want to be more under the radar. I like this simple, elegant design

At the bank wiring the money now. Will either pick it up today or in the morning. Will definitely post pics.

They had a silver DJ41 on the oyster with fluted bezel in stock also.

I'm taking it you've never seen a ss jubilee bracelet in person. there is nothing remotely under the radar about it lol. the rosegold jubilee bracelet on the sundust is actually less blingy than its stainless steel counter parts.

Are you getting it because you've always wanted one or because it was available? I always thought the submariner and seadweller were painfully redundant. That said, I know you have the two-tone sub so this may provide you with a piece that's a bit more "chill". Congrats either way mane.

I got it because I really wanted an all steel sports model rolex. The two tone will stay on the rubber strap. And if I find it is to redundant I’ll sell the two tone.

Definitely happy with the purchase. At first he said he had a deep sea, and I wouldn’t have been interested in that really. I know you’re not a big fan of the black subs and similar models.

Yeah man, the moment you go out to eat at a dimly lit restaurant for dinner you'll get alllll kindz of sundust pink color. You're fine, that's definitely it. And that guy that told you it was a "ever rose dial" is just potato that got the names mixed up. You definitely have the right one.

Thanks man. The red letters on the sea dweller look hnnngh too imo. The owner was talking to me about what I do for a living, and asked if I ever shopped there before (I hadn’t). Then he said he loves building new relationships with clients. Really nice guy.

I don't see any issue with having both, and I'm somebody that likes every watch I buy to look different than anything else I have. The two you're questioning look completely different.

Looking for a durable everyday beater - was thinking Longines Conquest but now I'm torn between Sinn 856 i, Aqua Terra, or IWC Mark xviii. I think the Omega is maybe too expensive I and would care about it too much.

Thoughts?

Sinn 556 or Breitling Colt on the secondary markets

If you stretch a little bit to $2k jomashop has some brand new ones. Love this one on the rubber breitling strap

Buy the Aqua Terra on the secondary markets and it's the same price as the IWC. From what I can see, they are both very close in price and I prefer the Aqua Terra. Never been a conquest fan and I prefer the 556 to the 856.

No offense but many of the questions you're asking come down to personal style. I've hated literally every watch southdakota brah has posted itt, but that makes his preferences no less valid than my own.

I eventually want a blue dial, black dial, and silver (with different designs, I don't want four DJ41s, just two at most).. that would probably be the end for me. Now I'm not even sure I want the TT black/gold submariner.. hmm. DJ seems like a popular watch, are there any similar comparable alternatives? Think I'm going to get one more watch then call it good for the year lol. Maybe just a blue DJ41, keep it simple.
I agree with keep it simple. Just get what you want and no BS. Jubilee is definitely more flashy than the oyster, but if you look at that pic I posted from trf a page or so back, the DJ41 blue fluted on oyster is pretty much a blue SkyD lite.

You have to go fluted boyo. Always, but for some reason the platinum is smooth only.
