TIGR, FUTU, and SOFI carrying my entire portfolio rn

Also, kicking myself for selling UPST after 227% gain (bought at $86 and sold at $196). Would be up 300% if I hung onto it.

New black box warning on one of their big drugs, its kind of overblown. Humira is going generic in 3 years which sucks for them and this was supposed to be one of their next big things.

Only because once I hit 6 figures I started buying riskier stocks instead of indexes. Since we're in a weird time with everything going up all the time, it's definitely paid off.

I still keep the majority of my money in index funds, but I now feel more comfortable taking on more risk with what I feel like is excess. I've made conservative projections of what it should turn into based on avg 7% returns and I should be set for retirement in my mid 50s. I ran a monte carlo simulation on it and it's even higher than my conservative projection. So I've started taking on a bit more risk while also trying to preserve the nest egg by keeping a lot in index funds.

I think the market cap of competing credit-rating companies is just pulling it up rn.

$40billion market cap is transunion/Equifax etc…. Upstart is $20billion, and offers a more effective product.

No other reason it should move 5%+ per day lmao. Madness.

Crypto singing like a canary and the SPX is now rolling over.

Expect more red tomorrow, through the week or on Mon.

I'm not sure if these will roll into the -10%+ correction.

Profitability will come as a function of experience not account size. Someone who has only a basic understanding is going to blow up their account more quickly with a big bankroll.

At 200k daytrading I was very profitable. At 200k switching to options which I knew nothing about, I blew up my account and stopped trading for 6 years.

Now I have more experience and average 2k a week in realized gains. No matter how you slice it, thats a lot of money for roughly 10 hours of side hustle. Consequently, as my account grows, I can make even more conservative plays to earn the same amount of money, which in turn increases my profitability.

Your biggest improvement in profitabilty due to account size will probably initially come when your gains are not eaten up by trading fees, i.e if you are paying $9.95 trade and your scalp or option needs to gain $20 to break even.

I definitely found it easier… in a sense.

Growing $2,000 positions was slower. Needed 20% plus to feel like you gained something, and only had 1-3 stocks at a time.

Now I typically go $10,000 in each and some even larger and can hold a much more diversified portfolio.

Something to be said about having more money makes more money. On the flip side the bad trades are more intense. I've definitely learned the hard way to cut losing positions rather than hold on.
