The idea was novel, and the guy (if it was one guy) was a savant, but can we really expect him to have made EVERY choice for us from day one, and correctly? 1Mb blocks... kludge to keep the network bandwidth requirements in check. POW algorithm, probably the most secure, but maybe not most efficient. He probably viewed this all as an experiment. The entire point of consensus is to allow democratic change. Unfortunately some elements are baked into the brand identity, and thus will be hard to change.
I finally decided to invest in the past month just because I realized it's a bubble that isn't likely to end anytime soon. Crypto price is so much about psychology.

brahs srs question, if you had 10k cash rn, what kind of portfolio would you build and store in a hardware wallet and not look at it for 3 years.
I am leaning towards 30% ETH, 20% ZEN, 20% OMG, 20% NEO and 10% WTC.
Any opinions or suggestions?

If this were to happen that would either screw the ppl holding ethconnect into making it even more obvious it's a scam or have a whole bunch of people jumping over to ethconnect. Either way I still don't mind the gamble with ethconnect.

Personally even tho I don't hold much BTC right now and don't really plan on owning much more, if I were going to sit on coins and not look (is such a thing even possible?) at it for 3 years, I'd park some money in BTC for sure.
Death is impossible for us to fathom: it is so immense, so frightening, that we will do almost anything to avoid thinking about it. Society is organized to make death invisible, to keep it several steps removed. That distance may seem necessary for our comfort, but it comes with a terrible price: the illusion of limitless time, and a consequent lack of seriousness about daily life. We are running away from the one reality that faces us all.

btc's been having problems. the details of this fork could have led you to bch
but btc fukin cancelled the fork. i wrote posts how i had no idea people weren't more pissed about what happened.
well, it looks like you had a mini exodus of people from btc to bch. bch if you were doing research previous the fork would have been a good bet for anything. could you foresee 80%? prob not.
this fork was pretty srs. business, and, again, it was more about people flowing en masse due to the cancellation of the fork and btc's troubles as opposed to random buys.
i also read something about bch having a fork - someone posted it earlier. that could have something to do with it as well

If they're right they act like they're some market oracle. There are some concrete trends, like a bull run will be met with a correction, but trying to say something will triple in January or double in February is wishful thinking.well, there are definitely random events that no one can predict but i dont think thats the case here
