It's definitely thicker on the wrist, and the weight difference is noticeable. But that could also be because the sub is on the lighter rubber strap. Would probably be closer in weight if I still had the two tone bracelet on there. The reason it looks similar I think is because the seadweller first adopted the skinnier lugs, while the 40mm sub still had the larger lugs.

And you're right about having to see watches in person. My phone pictures are never good at showing off watches. In person they shine a lot more and have more presence, but in pics they just look "flat".

The olive day date would go great with that outfit. Lol or even the green aqua terra would.

The rose gold really fits your skin tone. You rocking the date just today?

Wait a second. You can just go on the omega website and order watches? I thought it was like Rolex where you had to find an AD.

I ran this test a while back and was amazed how many of these top brands are readily available just on the website. You can just add a Breitling or a Cartier to cart real quick. just lol

This. X1000000000. It's happened with every watch i own.

I was meh about the longines hydroconquest (first "expensive" watch i bought). Went into the AD and was like holy chit this looks good, and doesnt look "big" for 41mm.

The air king….almost convinced myself while waiting that i didnt want it, was too busy, too much color. Got the call and put it on the wrist and the color disappears/is the right amount, and the dial doesnt look busy at all in 99% of light.

Speedy, convinced myself it was "too big" for 42mm. Put it on and immediately went "oh fukk." Because in person the curves/case/bigger dial face make it "look" smaller.

Lolz yes. And most ADs will give you a discount (unless speedy….some can be sticklers on that).

Go look at it in person. It is secks.

Also….the clasp being a double deployment is 10/10 as well. One of the few watches i would not want to put on a nato.

I'm only speaking from the perspective of Rolex as there's a markup on all of their watches on grey market. Is it different for brands like Omega, where you can get it cheaper (new) from grey market? What about from grey market ADs (if those are a thing)?
Omega doesn’t play that game like rolex. Most of their models are in stock and if they are in-stock, you can negotiate. Limited editions/in-demand/hot selling watches might be harder to get a discount. Look up prices on the watch you want on grey dealer websites. Then go to the AD and try to get it as close as possible to the grey dealer (without mentioning the grey dealer lol). You will be definitely paying more than you would at a grey dealer but you get the manufacturer warranty at the AD. If you don’t like the final price the AD is offering, try another AD. If the watch you want is “hot” and there is no discounts to be had, ask if the AD can throw in freebies/swag

No. You go in and ask to try on the piece and show slight interest leaning indifference. Then you say "i like it… i'd be willing to walk out with it today for X" with X being $100 below grey market. AD will say best he can do is Y.

I'm going to do this tomorrow with the green dial aqua terra. Retail is $5700, i'm going to say i'd walk out with it for $4300, AD will probably come back with something like $4500 or so. If he refuses to go below $4600, i'll just buy it from jomashop or some schit.

Just ask them what the best deal they can give you on it is. If they say no discount, then leave. If they give you a number, that's your starting point and go from there. if you have a number in mind, you can figure it out. For Omega you should be shooting for around 20% off.

Mention nothing about grey dealers, their price, or price matching. It’s only for your reference so you know what’s a good price to get the watch for

The double deployment? Go look in person….it's slick. And so much better than a big hunk of uneven clasp.

Go pick up that watch brah. The blue fluted jubilee DJ41? Super nice piece. Don't pass it up.

part of me wants to go back to the AD that hooked me up with the seadweller and just show my interest in a really rare model like the BLNR, Kermit, Daytona, Skydweller and just see what happens now that I've spent a little bit of money there. *lol at one Rolex even being a blip on their radar* But if they called me tomorrow to come pick one up I'd really be scrambling. lol so think I'll just wait until I have the funds ready to go. But also don't want them to forget me.

And W1ll post pics of some watches tomorrow when you go check out the Green aqua terra.

Damn. Thats nuts (now that im not being cucked by IT dept).

Like this, air king, Speedy, and the GA-2100. AK is 40mm, the speedy is 42, and technically the GA is some "45mm" measurement from side to side.

My ad tried to get me one but it was already allocated. Sent me an e-mail feb16 saying she was going to try and order me one directly. If it's anything like your time frame, I should have the blue dj41 end of this month or mid April. I really want it for the spring/summer so i'll give her till end of april, otherwise i'll just go grey and look to make a trade deal off my sundust DJ.

As twovalve pointed out, they're barely going above msrp+tax on the grey market so it's not a hard pill to swallow. I just want as much AD rapport as possible for when i go to put in my order for the 126715.

The best part is, it's not one of those watches that looks great in pics but is meh in person. I tried on large and "small" reversos at an AD back in December and they're so damn sexy on wrist. Not to mention fun, flipping the case back and forth lol. Gives it a toy-gadget like charm.

Hearing the stories of "ordering" DJ41s and such makes me really think Rolex has been playing the former AD. Originally when i mentioned that DJ it sounded like im sure we could make that happen, then slowly wasnt.

Fwiw when I started my search I called over 25 AD’s out here, and I only found 2 that said they would be able to secure one. One was from Tournaeu but it was a 12+ week wait. The other, which I went with, had to make a ton of calls to her reps and friends and finally tracked one down. They definitely aren’t making this easy.

From why I was told, Rolex just ships out inventory, the ADs have no clue What they will get nor how much they will get. And they only do shipments every so often (were recently completely closed for 2 months for Christmas). When they are open ADs can’t even place specific orders, just add it to their interest list and then Rolex will take it from there.

Basically. Like i've shared, the Rolex Sales Rep told my AD that "they control the air."

So my opinion (as i've expressed) is that's a dangerous game to play as a business. That can get you falling from grace fast. And everything i've learned, im not as opposed to going grey anymore as long as it's a trusted seller.

The random sounds like exactly what i was told by multiple ones. They dont really "take" orders anymore unless it's larger PM pieces. The DJ just comes in with a random config.
