Why bother reading something you know will never be finished?

I don't get why everyone blames the directors for the shows drop in quality. It's easier to trace than draw free-hand. Blame GRRM for being unable to finish what he started.

Show is definitely several notches below where it was and the last episode was close to the worst episode ever. That said, it's still enjoyable enough to watch.

lol no one would have liked if tyrion died that way. the uproar would be biggest ever. he's like THE favorite character.

if they took out tyrion i think the unsullied could have taken out qyburn. not a good move. qyburn is like the only one cersei can trust.
Precisely why it would have been epic for Tyrion to meet his end in that moment. Also fitting if he'd have taken an arrow through the chest like how he killed his father.

I like his character. I like a show that kills off major characters more.

This. I personally had it right behind the wire and sopranos. Now id definitely say it fell outta the top 7-8. Id have to sit and think for 10

Another poster stated this earlier but I wish I would have stopped after season 7 and made up an ending in my head. That would have been more satisfying than what we've gotten

i think it has to be like this. otherwise it would be slow episode after slow episode.

they don't really have anymore content. they could create some by bringing in dorne, but that would just be filler.
They have more than enough IMO, especially with the Great War being finished halfway through the season.

They could spend more time on strategy and sedition like they always did. Those scenes between Varys and Tyrion were major this episode and the best this show has been outside of action sequences in a while.

OK. I'm caught up.

Rhaegar's dying was weak AF. Also some truly terrible dialogue. Not a complete loss, though.

Its like d&d dont like white walkers and wanted them done asap.

So how did Bronn reload that crossbow in less than half a second with just his hand when it was previously established that you needed a tool to pull the string back?

I thought the dialogue between Tyrion and Varys was prime.

And I love Missandei using her last words to tell Dany to burn them.

My only disappointment from this last episode was Cersei failing to have Tyrion murked by those archers. GOT was amazing because they just spontaneously murdered major characters. Some random slave servant getting killed means very little.

Otherwise ok episode. Plot holes but I'm alright with another dragon getting taken out of play.
Well they did spontaneously killed a major character - one of the dragons. I thought that was what people wanted but all the bitch boys find a way to cry lol

Tyrion getting absolutely spiked with arrows would have been an interesting touch too though

the writers should have never put that scene there. its a retarded ending either way; either Tyrion gets killed OR Cersei goes completely out of character

having Dany, Tyrion, a couple unsullied, and Drogon there alone in front of dozens of ballistas and archers was utterly idiotic. Cersei SHOULD have slaughtered them there if they kept her in character.

The problem isn't the dragon dying, the problem is how pathetic of a kill it was in terms of chit writing. The writing has been abysmal these last few episodes and it's noticeable.

How the fuk does Dany not notice a huge fleet of ships from above and how are they impossibly accurate at first, then impossible inaccurate the next.

Ep3 was far better, im more sympathetic to retarded chit happening whens theres the dead involved vs euron and fukin cersei. Ep4 is the lowest rated GoT episode ever

Tyrion will beg her not to do it and will make up a thousand excuses for Varys, but she will burn him anyway. I'm calling it right now. This will be the catalyst for Tyrion to lose faith in Danny.

The show got too big for it's own good. The actors started demanding salaries that were out of budget and getting multi million dollar movie deals on the side at the same time, so they wanna jump ship to avoid being remembered for their GOT characters forever (besides the obvious monetary gain of movie deals). That, coupled with Dumb and Dumber running out of ideas and GRRM telling them to fuk off I'm "gonna finish Winds of Winter" resulted in the cluster fuk we got in season 7 and this utter piece of shiit we got now in season 8.

I actually thought episode 4 was pretty good. At least compared to the disappointment that was episode 3 lol. The acting was good, and it doesn't bother me if a character gets killed off unexpectedly. It's more realistic that way. Not every character needs an epic poetic death with several seasons of foreshadowing building up to it. Sometimes chit just happens man

It’s honestly amazing what the show runners and HBO did even with Seasons 1-5ish. GRRM borderline intentionally wrote Game of Thrones so it would be nigh-impossible to translate it to screen, and he thought it simply couldn’t be done

This is an author who returned to writing fiction novels because of his disenchantment with Hollywood, and D&D convinced him to let them take on GOT. Most of us probably wouldn’t be aware of the series at all if it weren’t for that, and they did a wicked job with GRRM’s material

Even the man himself can’t finish the damn story, so I find it difficult to fault the GOT team for not knocking it out of the park with their fresh stuff

They're killing off all the magic in the show.

- all the direwolces and now ghost
- all the white walkers and night king
- 2 out of 3 dragons, one to go
- red woman / beric and Lord of light

All that's left is drogon, the mountain and bran. Rip all 3

Never liked Daenerys or the actress playing her (although that could be that she pulls off the entitled milennial sloot attitude so well), i feel all her actions are completely justified, lost her best friend and advisor, 2 of her "children", most of her army, is actively being conspired against by all her "allies" and inner circle, is about to lose her lover who has more claim to the throne which she dedicated her entire life to conquer back.
