GRRM himself said that the only thing worth writing about is the human hearts conflict with itself, everything else is an aside. The White Walkers were never more than a motivation for a series of events to come together, his story has always about internal conflict, the fight between right and wrong and its cost.

You're reaching when I don't think there is anything to grab. Dany left Essos. No one is going to just "stop" paying the Iron bank. Entire kingdoms have been destroyed for doing that. That is the Iron bank's entire thing. You refuse to pay, someone else gets a loan to take you the fuk out.

Volantis and Pentos have nothing to do with Dany, and again, have no reason to care.
Astapor and Mereen have no worthwhile armies left and no fleet. Daario might care, but I don't see why anyone else would. If Anything, news of Dany's death is far more likely to just cause a revolt by the former Slavers, to recapture their slaves and cities.
Yunkai was never captured, they just freed their slaves. They are going to be happy as fuk Dany is dead and probably pull out a loan from the Iron Bank themselves to help take back Mereen/Astapor.
Dorne is part of Westeros, and already on Dany's side.

Cersei not killing Dany "Because of Essos" is just silly imo. There are actual reasons for Cersei not smattering Dany and crew that would be acceptable if written well, but Essos is not one of them.

Seems like Varys and possibly Tyrion are going to betray Daenerys and support support Jon for the throne instead. I got a feeling Daenerys probably won't be ruling Westoros in the end. With the way things are going, I wouldn't be surprised if Sansa ends up on that throne to be honest.

The episode when the NK died literally had minimal the human hearts conflict. GRRM referring to Faulkner's quote doesn't absolve poor writing/story ending. At the very least -- underwhelming story writing.

i think he fits the character. the unsullied were taken as child slaves and made to feel nothing and then when he met missandei his emotions start to come out. idk it makes sense to me.

i didn't like him initially too but he sort of seems like he fits the character

Otherwise ok episode. Plot holes but I'm alright with another dragon getting taken out of play.

Yeah I can definitely see that happening too. I wonder if Varys has a plan to get Daenerys killed? Whatever happens next I just hope Euron and Cersei die. Also I want to see the Hound vs the Mountain.

lol no one would have liked if tyrion died that way. the uproar would be biggest ever. he's like THE favorite character.

if they took out tyrion i think the unsullied could have taken out qyburn. not a good move. qyburn is like the only one cersei can trust.

To be fair, it was never really spontaneous. There was always considerable setup. They just came as unexpected because major characters in other shows always have plot armor (and the same is true of GOT now). If you go back and look at the steps, such as in the case of Ned's death, the Red Wedding, or even the Purple Wedding, you could always see how the character decisions as well as other events led to those conclusions. Now we just have chit falling out of the sky, whether it be midget assassins or dragons.

I'd be surprised if most other critics aren't happy about Varys' return to the forefront. He's probably the most dangerous person for Daenerys right now.

I'm thinking he was the reason for Euron grabbing Mel and killing the dragon. Hes likely leaking info to get her killed asap.
