Can I put a black rubber band on a sub?

Going into my AD next week to talk with them about a couple pieces, any tips? Should i bring a present with me? I kinda want the seamaster 300 but $5600aud seems steep for an omega. Odds theyll have a sub on hand that I can walk out with? Lmao.

Wonder how badly theyll laugh at me when I ask about the batgirl

I would wear the fuk out of it. That's a really, really great watch.

Perfect watch to wear with a navy or charcoal suite. I have a Longines that I wear in the same situation. For sports coat w/ odd trousers or other casual wear then most all of the other timepieces (Moonwatch, GMT II, Seiko's, etc.) are better, but for a dark business suite and classic gold watch (your Rolex) or something stunning with a leather band is perfect.

Nonsense. They look and feel like a 10k watch. But the 10k models aren't aethetic and the aesthetic models aren't 10k. Same problem every other brand has and the reason this is just a rolex thread.

Fuark boyos went by the ad today to see if any magic would happen again. No such luck. Didn’t see the owner this time like I hoped.

Guess if I want the BlnR it’s gonna have to be grey market.

Even aSked if it would increase my chances if I bundled the watch with some others. The sales person said it wouldn’t.

I really do think it's a toss up between the Rhodium or Blue dial datejust and you just go with 36 or 41 depending on your wrist size. One and done watch if i've ever seen one.

Lmao for whatever reason I thought you said the GMT was GADA and i was like uhhhhh word?

I was initially going rogue with the hate for the jubilee bezel because i thought it was flashy. Then it came time to swipe the card… on the blue dial smooth bezel and i was like uhhhh yeah i want the flash.

Different posts, but I've said the GMT LN is my ultimate Rolex GADA, but since you were looking for a DJ I suggested not getting cute, and instead starting out with a solid foundation with a SS white, black or blue dial DJ.

ah that's what I thought you meant. I was just checking out IWC hubcaps and remarking that the good looking ones are too expensive because of the calendar. No way would I ever want something that complicated unless I hit the lotto and could wear this every day:

I just bought my SD43 at retail for around 12 after taxes. They’re selling for 15-16k on the grey market.

Love this watch. Would highly recommend it if you can get it at retail. I even like the James Cameron deep sea if you have the wrist for it. Which you probably do.

Okay well fuk i got cute, but i still enjoy it lol. I'm nitpicking with the lack of sundust color honestly, and I know i'm really going to miss the rose gold on the band. It's far enough away from my neck that it still looks like it matches a 22k yellow gold necklace/s, but it doesn't completely clash like i know the SS will.

I think the only answer is "y not do both?".

The jubilee/fluted bezel is an attention magnet, and i kinda like that as much as i'm disgusted with myself and feel like a thot for admitting it. When I sit at a bar, sl00ts next to me are always pretending to play with their hair so they can glance at it. Then when i was getting on the plane to fly home from miami, turned sideways leading with the rolex arm to get to my seat and literally every old dude with an aisle seat was like:

There was some fatfuk with a backwards hat and oakly sunglasses that had an all black daytona on the plane. he was sitting across the aisle from me. He wanted me to notice and compliment his watch sooooo damn bad. At one point he looks at some asian guy and yells "wow we're running late!" lifts up his watch and taps the dial to draw the guys eyes to it. Then kept flicking out his wrist and holding out his arm… fuking sad lol

I can't fathom how annoyed i would be if I lucky enough to own a daytona and then have to basically hold my wrist up in someones face in order for them to recognize it as a rolex. To be fair he looked a bit unkept and the type to live and die by the watch on his wrist and rev his dodge Hellcat really loud at stop lights iin hopes of looking cool. Sl00ts whose eyes are drawn to DJs don't have the slightest clue how much of a flex having a daytona is. Seems to be like boats where the only other people impressed by certain boat features are other boat owners. Sl00ts just want a boat.

I think I’ve decided to just be a one watch guy (SD43) for the next year or so and see what the market does. I know I’ll hate myself if I drop 17k on a fkn blnr on the grey market. It can’t keep this up forever.

Will still keep an eye out for anything at an AD. But don’t wanna lose my ass on a watch if I ever decide to sell. Losing 1 or 2 grand isn’t bad, but much more than that kind of sucks. And tbh to most regular people the SD43 is gonna look just as impressive as the blnr lol so really no need to rush it.

Inb4 I have a grey market blnr next week.

In almost four years of a white 116500 I've had maybe half a dozen strangers comment on it. The best was the owner of a local pet store from like 20 ft away said "hey nice watch." I love these encounters. Saw another guy with a kermit and asked him if it was a Kermit (bad lighting) and he said yeah it's an LV. So I knew this guy knew his chit and it turns out he owns a pawn shop which lead to a good 5 min conversation.

Do it. What do you have in mind?

The BLNR prices creeping up to 17k now are just gross so it's going to be a while before i drop that crap.

Very good way of putting it on the second part. Ive had two people come up to me in airports and give me compliments on the AK. And that guy with the daytona you mention probably also looks down on "lower" watches and says the AK is gawdy and has a busy dial. But generally, dont mind the convos like bigrangs mentions.

I've got to get my tax bill back from my accountant. Have a feeling i may owe a couple K after moving, selling house, bonus, etc. And the longer that bish sits there the better deal i may get. If it's there after my trip up north here late this week, and i get my taxes known, i may PM him.

Also….inb4 me and unstump both post grey BLNRs.

.

Also….inb4 me and unstump both post grey BLNRs.
Don’t tempt me with a good time. If I see you post you went grey that might be all the pushing I need lmao

I’m already trying to make it make sense in my head. Like you said previously selling those two watches got me pretty close.

If April is anything like when they announced last years model we’re in for a couple months of everything being jacked up even higher. Sub dates and no dates were being listed for 18k right after they were announced last year.

I think the smart move at this point is to just hold off for awhile. At least see what’s announced in April first. Who knows could be something even more appealing than the BlNR show up. Though unlikely.

Edit- speaking of I have been getting recommended videos of the sub no date. I really like that watch. But not sure if it would be redundant with the SD43. And probably wouldn’t scratch that gmt itch. But would be more obtainable.

30th is a good excuse brother, hope you manage to get one for then!

I'm seriously toying with the idea of a DD40, I also think I like the RG CHNR but its really awkward without actually being able to see/try them on in the flesh. Also is a kick in the teeth potentially having to pay overs for a precious metal piece. I'll see nearer the time how I am financially but it's doable right now
