GJDM!

I've been sporting an awesome newcomer, an all original Universal Geneve Railrouter 1205, a Canadian railroad watch.

came across the seiko spirit recently while browsing for a new piece. it comes in 8 varieties, however i'm not really a fan of the versions with a colored dot for the 24 hr indicator. i was pretty intrigued by these three colors, though, pictured below. all three come with a clasp locking bracelet, which appears to be easily interchangeable, and the watches have a lot of versatility with other straps. would love some other opinions on this model and which colors…(i already have two seikos btw, wouldrecommend/10)

Anyone has the G-shock steel series?

GST-S110. Not mine, but thought it looks pretty good compared to its rubber bros.

I think the $1k one was called the MTG or something. We just got some in not long ago that have that same metal look but that are in the $300 range. They actually look pretty good

The one posted is like $350, the $1000 is their MTG gshock that is like $650 gray market. I looked these up this morning whilst taking a ****.

Oh ok. Well that makes a little more sense. I just have a hard time imagining spending even $650 on a g-shock, metal or not.

Misc recommend me a cheap watch to replace my Hamilton and Seiko for cafe work. The left wrist gets a bit of a workout on the coffee machine (tamping the coffee), maybe its not good for them. They were both Quartz, but from what I understand an automatic would be even less suited for the job. Looking to spend under 300 US and have sapphire glass (the hardlex didnt do too well imo). Size 42mm. Currently looking at this:

Chronograph so the second hand stands still which I like since its a quartz.

At 300 that piece looks very good. But unless you are really hitting things hard and at high velocities, a $500 automatic hamilton or an orient might still be a better choice.

I think that one comes out at about $330US.

Its not so much a hitting, but more of a backwards and forwards turning action with the wrist. Literally hundreds of times a day, so it ends up being over 1000 sharp stop-start actions.

Its pretty much that, but more of a rotating action, and for 10 hours straight.

Always mired your AP. I would've done a "money shot" on that $30k watch though.
