The Miller story sounds absolutely potato. Beating up a 70 year old man? Are you fuking serious?
Get rid of this fuking ginger if this isn't some kind of crazy mixup…
Baalke totally played his hand wrong this offseason and he's skating on thin ice and needs his remaining draft picks to step up big this season.
Not putting Redmond on PUP to start camp was a major fuking mistake and IMO that decision was made more because of Baalke's track record with ACL injuries and him wanting to show fans that Redmond could play this season…which is fine but by not putting him on the PUP and letting him get healthy just because you wanted to trot him out there in camp for limited practice and get him in a couple of preseason games cost us a roster spot. A spot that could've been used on Driskel.
Instead they now had to use the IR designated return tag for him. Similar situation with Dorsey actually(that one made even less sense since dude is a vet and doesn't need camp like a rookie would)
Driskel may never be another Tom Brady but he certainly had a lot more to offer this franchise as a development player than Christian Ponder. Big mistake that hopefully won't be too fuking painful a few years down the road. If I'm seeing another Brady 6 staring Jeff Driskel 10+ years from now I'm going to flip out.
But speaking of QBs…the 3 I really have my eyes on this college season are Deshaun Watson(out of our range imo), Luke Falk and DeShone Kizer. If Kizer has more games like the other day we may see a Manning/Leaf or Luck/RG3 type situation happening and team holding #1 overall with a QB need could be having quite the decision to make there or a QB without a QB need could be waiting for a 3 1st round pick type of compensation.

Bruce got blackout drunk and then beat up two people that were in their hotel room trying to sleep. Bye bye deep threat. You really had no soul.

wow just read about the Bruce situation. I actually think they were going to try and trade him to a FB needy team sometime in the near future but this arrest ruined all trade value. Ackward situation for McCray considering we tried to trade him so he knows he's not wanted here. Oh well maybe he'll out in an auditioning effort. lol

So who replaces Miller on the final roster? Hard to say we're they need it most. Two places are recover and of course tight end. Not sure who they would bring.

Blows my mind how these guys make so much money and are dumb as fuk sometimes, I wouldn't ever have expected something like that to happen from a guy like Bruce Miller, that said he fuked up and deserves any punishment he gets for what he did.
I'm not sure who they will put on the 53 in his place, maybe Rush, Garrison Smith, could be Hamm if we want to keep another TE, maybe even McCray although if he didn't pass SEA physical he shouldn't be able to pass ours or there was a mixup of some sort.
Curious to see who they add to the 53 tho, maybe Dres Anderson even for another WR.

We just waived McCray and added someone from Philly, DL Taylor Hart. So I guess he is now on the 53, not sure why we wouldn't add Garrison Smith in that case but whatever, I'm a bit unsure of some of these moves Baalke has been making.

I'm certain we wanted to bring Smith and Driskel back on the PS and develop them without having to stash them on the 53 at the cost of someone who can help this year. Sucks when they get snatched up and turn into something good.

It appears Tank got a 1 year extension. I did not see the details yet. But this is at least good news considering everything else that has gone on. He looks like he found his role on the defense and I am excited to see what he can do.

Now that we are into the season how do you guys predict us doing against the rams? Honestly I think we are pretty even matched if you look at every position. The only thing the Rams have on us is their Dline (IMO).

I think we have a pretty good shot to beat the Rams. OL will be tested early but is much better than last year so that's a plus. If we can get the tempo up and a few first downs going it can help neutralize their DL. That won't be easy tho. I'm just excited as **** to watch tbh.

Frustrating when we're not super talented at the position anyways and guys with potential can't stay healthy.

As for the Rams game I honestly think that's a winnable game for us. As weird as it is to say right now I think we're strength vs strength in terms of our OL and their DL but I think their back end isn't as good as it was last year and I think our defense will be up to the task of stopping Gurley.
I'm thinking we win 24 to 20.

I feel awful for saying this but I hope we don't have a season just mediocre enough to keep us out of contention for the top prospects in the draft. I think the 2017 draft is our best chance to find a QB of the future.
This season we have a lot of youth on the team and a tough schedule which normally is a recipe for a less than stellar season.
Deshaun Watson, Myles Garrett, Luke Falk and DeShone Kizer all make this team much better moving forward. If they all continue playing similar to how they did week 1 and all declare then we're looking at top 5 pick candidates.
I really want this team to be back to playoff contention every season and for that to happen we need a legit QB. Really pisses me off that Kaepernick wasted all that fuking talent. Feel like Obi Wan up in this piece

Am I the only one not that excited?
I will never root against the team and maybe my excitement will change close to kickoff…but we are in full on Pacers or Raptors mode.
At best, we somehow make the playoffs and that's a very very long shot. That will only place us further from finding a QB and leader. The team is too much of a circus to be successful.

Just saying going into the season not 100% for probably our most impactful D lineman isn't a good thing, especially when the unit as a whole is seemingly injured a bit with no Williams, Dorsey, and Dial and Armstead not 100%. We'll see what happens tho.

There is so much mediocrity at the QB position these days, I think our failed strategy of building up the Defense would work better now. And yeah, I'll never forget that sh*thead Kyle Williams and his "I just wanted to make a play"

Obviously if you have a historic level defense like Tampa did that year or Denver last season you can win with mediocre QB play but QB is still super important.

I'm excited because I think the 49ers will be better than most people give them credit for. I think 6-8 wins is very realistic and I know that will drop us out of the top QB race but none of those QBs are for certain. Heck look at Jared Goff this year, top QB and he's struggling. Not saying he wont be good but that's another year we'd be in the dumpster fire.
Blaine GOATbert is going to move this offense 5 yards at a time every 2 seconds. They wont know what hit them.

Just glad real football is back, opening night tonight and a whole lotta thursdays, sundays, and mondays to look forward to for awhile.
I think the Niners will be better than last year, but not great. We are unfortunate to be in one of the toughest divisions and this year have a pretty tough schedule as well which gives us no help.

I think this will be a winning season for if we can actuAlly produce on offense. The last couple years we haven't put up a ton of points and relied on field goals and defense. Sure actual wins would be nice but if we can be top 20 or better on offense and defense then I think we won and that will build into next year.
