RAD- still worth shorting they are going under. Probably going to sell its Rx business and fold. srs.

Oil chilling, but rig activity is booming again. Depending on the price of a barrel either there will be lots of capped wells waiting or they'll start pumping. The US will fill any holes in 3rd world production shortages.

Let me beat this dead horse one more time...What is your "set it and forget it" fund? Being in a IRA or where ever, where do you put your money and just let it ride without the thought of trading around anywhere?

Just put some money in Vanguard's lifestrategy - 40% equity 60% bonds (for long term investment). Is this a good investment for a complete noob to all this?. Up to now my savings have just been sitting in a regular ISA with literally no interest.

Nah, you should be more heavy equities. limit your bond exposure, 60% is ridiculous with rising rates.

Agreed unless youre in your 60s..

Im like 70% equities, 30% cash, no bonds.. I want to be 80% equities, 20% bonds here soon.

I have a couple bond funds that I bought years ago. IEF and TLT.. they pay monthly bond coupons that I have reinvested, but they have been real lackluster. Yields are 2.56% and 2.28% respectively. My position in bonds is small though, mostly equities at my age is the way to go imo

Don't- this thread is mainly people posting their day to day thoughts there isn't a whole lot of trading insight that you'll find. You'd be better off learning by using a website to "paper trade" aka they give you 10,000 "credits" or whatever and you buy things as it follows the market so you can understand the basics of buying and selling with ask/bid. As you get familiar with basic every day ebbs and flows try to look into more complex trading strategies that involve options or futures. I'm trying to think of the website to start trading free- anyone remember what that dam site is called? Thanks

Ok I’ve scoured the thread. Are there any UK brahs in here? Thoughts on Degiro as this would be the one I’d get into in terms of the broker as it has low fees etc.
