Same I’d want the 70hr power reserve. I do a good bit of hiking and camping, so an explorer would fit perfect for that. Although the SD43 would work too tbh. Lol

I'd say since it's really just a movement upgrade, you may not have too much trouble. I've seen EXP II's in the case before.

Theyll come down, no one's gonna pay the same price for the older model when the newer one has an updated movement and power reserve.

Seller offered me a 2020 batgirl for 23k AUD (17.5k usd) but it has a scratch on the clasp or 24k aud for a new 2021

I think it’s a solid piece. Probably the “sportiest” model Rolex makes. Which I like.

Yeah it's definitely growing on me.

It's just tough to justify with my AK since they are "similar."

I really want something on jubilee for a next purchase.

You guys seem to get your watches so much cheaper than us in Australia. And then apparently Japan and Hong Kong are even cheaper

Well i mean….you do live on the bottom of the world m8…

I no longer have a real local AD i want to go to after 1 of the 2 in the area dropped Rolex. The other in the area is very open about how much you "have to spend" to get any sort of "hawt" piece.

So im stuck with grey.

But, i'd rather pay a 4-5k premium on a watch than have to spend 10s of thousands of dollars on watches or jewelry that is meh and i dont want.

I might keep my eye out for the polar on the grey market. Generally those don’t get marked up quite as extreme as some others. So might be worth going grey for that one instead of trying to play the AD games.

Wish I could see one in person though first. Usually the watches always look better in person though so not really to worried. And if I can wear the 43mm SD43: then the 42 shouldn’t be a problem.

I feel like the place that scored me my DJ has some decent connections. If anyone is interested, I would more than happy to facilitate a transaction. ONLY problem is they will more than likely require me to do the purchase. Even though I got hooked up with them via phone, they insisted I come in for the deposit, so I assume they would do the same for you guys. Feel free to hmu if interested.

Spot the difference

Hands / markers = Matte vs Gloss
Hard to see the case changes, perhaps the newer model has slightly longer / more tapered lugs? hard to get the same angler

Get it with the bracelet, then tell the dealer you want the blue leather to go with it.

Most ADs are pretty flexible and throw in freebies (sometimes). Does not hurt to ask.

The steel butterfly bracelet on that AT is 10/10. But so is the leather. You can always buy the leather 2nd hand from any omega dealer at a better price probably than the steel bracelet. Willbruh educated me on this. Always get the steel option. You can always get leather aftermarket.

Welp looks like my AD is pretty strapped… I asked about the BLNR and a Kermit, she said oh you have great taste! But we don't have any ETA for getting either one of those, but that I would be placed on a priority. Only thing they had in stock was the black with gold sub on oyster. I asked about what she could anticipate getting be it from regular stock or through her rep, basically asking what I shouldn't even think about getting and she said:

"The skydwellers are also like the green submariner and in very high demand. The stainless steel submariners are easier but unfortunately we do not have any available right now. All of the professional models are on allocation which means Rolex depicts how many we get per year and we are unable to special order customers, just so you are aware."

oof.

Kind of wishing I didn't sell my black TT sub right now. lmao fuark. Found the old receipt for when I purchased it at another AD with the SAs card stapled to it. I should have went there first while I still had the sub and inquired about another watch before I sold it. lol might have to make a phone call and see if the guy even still works there and lie and tell him how much I've been enjoying that watch for a few years now and am ready for anther steel piece.

But it's in Greenville, SC where I know there are some big spenders so I doubt a watch I purchased back in 2017 would get me anywhere.

MFC? This the MWC boyo. Although many of us are members of both. lol

Think I'm gonna give them a ring tomorrow and just inquire about the new white explorer. Might mention that one before the BLNR or Green Bezel Sub because probably no chance in hell for those two.

I met this lawyer today in my office who was rocking a white gold blue faced Daytona. He said he had the white ceramic one and hulk as well both bought at MSRP at AD.

Never seen the white gold Daytona in the wild but it was hnnnng. Not as nice as the standard white faced one imo though.

The WG Daytona is prolly how the white ceramic and hulk happened.

I think I remember even seeing one back then. But the same can be said for a lot of the lineup. The blue dial started taking off because of the John Mayer thing, which is funny because the yellow gold green Daytona was hard to get even before JM said anything about it. I know because I was helping a friend try to find one and it was dead ends everywhere. Then the JM video comes out, and it was a self fulfilling prophecy. People who had never looked into it started seeing that it was hard to get, and immediately attributed it to him, prices climb even higher, and next thing you know we're here.

I must've been thinking of something else. I thought the WG was a bundling style piece or a "special order" that they could get for you, just each AD got x amount per year they could order.

My old AD used to say they would get called from the NYC Rolex 'center' with big watches they couldnt get rid of, and magically get something like a hulk with them. Last one was a DD variant that was in the 60k range, and magically game with a hulk.
