The new Tudor Black Bay chronos look like Omegas 9900 Speedmaster Pro chronos as well, except 41mm.

Also Zenith recently decided to release their Chronomaster Sport, which looks basically like a ceramic stainless daytona with blue subdials and without the screwdown pushers

Looking to join the crew soon..

Went to an AD this past weekend to try some on the wrist.

Been researching vids/forums/sites since Dec 2020 and was dead set on a Breitling SOH II or an Oris Aquis (also considered Ball Skin Diver, Oris Diver 65, Oris Big Crown, few others)

Tried on the below and it was a wrap lol…absolutely love it…looking to purchase late May/early June hopefully

lol the aqua terra strikes again. it's probably the best "my first nice watch" one can buy. great bang for buck, really nice finishing all around, and incredibly versatile. I would just implore you to get it from somewhere like https://www.jomashop.com/ or https://www.prestigetime.com/ . Paying retail will get you rekt.

Man, I've seen it 1000x while looking, but was so thrown off by 41mm that I didn't consider it. I have big wrist and my 42mm daily seems small…turns out just the bezel playing tricks, because the AT wore perfectly.

Will get rekt from AD…Would like to build a rapport with the place for future purchases

Rolex makes it in 36 yes, i don't know about this particular AD having it though. price is msrp shown in the screenshot.

Sofa i went with the Remington from Arhaus - https://www.arhaus.com/furniture/liv...over-two-sofa/

It's as wide as a 3 seater, but only has 2 cushions which makes it look more inviting. Goose down top layer, memory foam under that, independently wrapped coils in the core, and belgian linen upholstery for those sweet sweet comfort gainz. KOALAtea schit.

NICE. Haven't looked into them before. Looks quality, knew you'd have something good. Bookmarked. In the market for a new home right now so that might put a hold on any new watch purchases for me right now. But as far as sofos go might go with that one in a darker color for the new office, and one of their sectionals for the living room eventually.

Not to derail thread into a sofa thread but it also has two depths. 40 inches, and 46inches. I opted for the 46inch, so sick. It's like half couch, half day bed you can pull your feet up on and chill.


ALSO, just talked to that SA on the phone. She's sending me the invoice for it now, letting me know its cashier's check or wire only blah blah blah don't care. It's mine. I'm so geeked.

I hold Glashutte and Blancpain at the same tier personally, and it's not like someone who recognizes a Blancpain won't recognize a Glashutte.

I clicked the link and started looking at the pics, the steel and gold with the rubber strap looks mint. I bet you'd be able to find them for 8.5k in a year or so.

I've always been a bit perplexed when I see guys on youtube videos or forums say "The AD experience is overrated. Not worth the hassle. Just pay the premium and go grey".

My AD always makes me feel like a fuking B-list celebrity with my humble datejust buys. Think that's cause i'm pretty bantery and just as snobby as the women there. Told them I reached a phase in my life where the next woman i meet will be for the end goal of marriage. Wanted to just peak at engagement rings to see what was in style. 3 glasses of champagne later she's pressuring me to try on a $420,000 10carat diamond. Hands were legit trembling. For misc cologne crew, they complimented on how good i was smelling. Scent of the day was Roja Dove Amber Aoud Crystal.

In the middle of pretentious banter i made a comment about how i was shocked the Rosé was so good. Normally i hate the stuff because it's so sweet. She says "Don't worry we'll send a bottle home with you." I looked up the bottle when i got home, fuking $80 bottle of Rosé just thrown in the bag along with the Rolex and Patek catalog. 10/10 experience.

Some final things to note:


- The blue dial is significantly lighter than the sundust dial. That's obvious because the bracelet is stainless steel, not white gold so you lose a bit of heft. Kind of lame to be honest having had the TT for so long now.

- They said daydates are basically steel sports models now. Can't keep them in stock. They also mentioned there's a new dial variant for the rose gold day date that went over the entire industry's head. The "eisenkiesel" dial - https://www.rolex.com/watches/day-da...5rbr-0016.html looks pretty sick. And comes in standard fluted bezel, not just that loud diamond bezel.

- Said they're still behind on oyster perpetual orders from last year that they're struggling to fulfill. Daytona's are still impossible to get.

I didn't. As you guys know i'm not a fan of the sub/seadweller/deepsea. Still love the blnr but it would be a touch redundant with the blue dj on jubilee. So excluding the steel SkyDweller which I wouldn't even attempt to get at retail. The only rolex i'm interested in is the 126715 everose rootbeer. That's a $40,000 watch, it's going to be 2 or so years before i allow myself to purchase such a piece.

I'll pick up a Black dial sky dweller greymarket at some point, but i have no idea when. Just going to allow myself to love on this blue DJ for awhile. Seems borderline disrespectful to have just acquired such a nice looking piece and already talking about what i'm going to add to it you know? I do not think the everose will stay in the collection for too much longer, but while i have it i'm going to enjoy having the color options.


Last point. I don't think this moves me up the list at all really. Buying unpopular stuff and jewelry is what moves you up the list. Only the sundust DJ could be considered unpopular and even that's a stretch since it was still a fluted/jubilee configuration. My SA knows a guy i'm friends with that has been begging for a white dial daytona for years. She says "he sends me referrals but they all want pepsis, batmans, and hulks… that doesn't really help lol"

True. That's the way I felt when I picked up my SD43. I waited a month after to just show interest in any other pieces. Didn't do any good. haha

But I'm still in love with my SD43.



A BLNR would be nice, but this watch really checks all the boxes for me. So am content for now. Especially since I have a lot of other purchases to make in the near future.
