My AD always makes me feel like a fuking B-list celebrity with my humble datejust buys. Think that's cause i'm pretty bantery and just as snobby as the women there. Told them I reached a phase in my life where the next woman i meet will be for the end goal of marriage. Wanted to just peak at engagement rings to see what was in style. 3 glasses of champagne later she's pressuring me to try on a $420,000 10carat diamond. Hands were legit trembling. For misc cologne crew, they complimented on how good i was smelling. Scent of the day was Roja Dove Amber Aoud Crystal.

In the middle of pretentious banter i made a comment about how i was shocked the Rosé was so good. Normally i hate the stuff because it's so sweet. She says "Don't worry we'll send a bottle home with you." I looked up the bottle when i got home, fuking $80 bottle of Rosé just thrown in the bag along with the Rolex and Patek catalog. 10/10 experience.

Jesus Christ, this is the most W1LLW'd post I ever read.

Also, strong bloatlord hand. Always bet on bloat. Gratz on the purchase brah

Mirin hard. Still on the fence on whether I should keep hustling and go for the batgirl (24k AUD) or just go into ny AD and beg for the blue dial dj for half that. (Or buy tne grey for like 14k aud)

Upside of the batgirl is that it should maintain its value plus more (aslong as rolex doesn't bring out the same model with a better movement like they did the batman), DJ's don't normally stay above retail

Fuarking nice m8. Congrats, and I say you keep both if you don't need the money and they'll get wrist time.

3235 movement just came out so it won't be replaced for another 20 or so years. As for better than the 3135 it replaced…the jury is still very much out on that.

It's just the lighting. In my living room, the dial may as well be black. Outdoors it's either the deep ocean blue i suspect you're referring to, or in direct sunlight it's closer to that "batman" blue you see on the gmt.

I'm still on the fence about the rosegold. Part of me wants to sell it, the other half of me still loves wearing it due to the added weight of the gold and color variety. Perhaps a compromise would be keeping it in my collection until i'm in a position to get the 126715 or a day-date. Funny thing happened though. While removing the stickers my dealer CASSSSUALLY mentions "I hope you don't mind your warranty card isn't ready yet, so we'll be mailing it to you if that's okay?"

lol *******s thought I would potentially flip the blue dial, when in actuality it's the sundust that's on the chopping block and they gave me that warranty card right away.

I’d say keep the rose gold one too. Fits your skin tone really well, and would work well in different situations imo. I’m already wishing I would have kept my two tone sub too lol

Alot of watch for $9k
One of those "have to see it on wrist" pieces. Tons of watch for 9k. And friendly reminder you can get Omega's Meteorite dial "grey side of the moon" speedmaster between 12 and 14k. You're not even sniffing a meteorite dial with rolex until you're around 40.

That world timer is 10/10. Seen that one and the rose gold version at my AD. Gorgeous. It's amazingly detailed.

I got hit with a decent amount of capital gains. But also a chunk from relocation and bonus from the company. Hopefully it's just capital gains next year.

Just got off the phone with my accountant, I am so fukked lol. It's 50% more than what I told you (think I told you?)…

Between paying taxes, and a hopeful down payment on a house, I will be dumping half my trading account.

Does this mean I will stop looking for a GMT II? absolutely not.

Flip that PP over and you'll like it less. Movement is way too small for the case, though I think they released a womens/miscers version this year that would have better proportions.

Went into a new AD to get a slight scuff polished out of my rose gold dj clasp. Started chatting Rolex and Tudor market.

Told me that the new chronographs were really hot and he has one in back. Thought he was blowing smoke but searched Chrono24 and watch recon, it appeared they do sell for a nice premium. Resale aside the watch is great in black with white registers so I decided to buy it. Will sell my Tudor bronze now, and this will be my replacement as a "beater". Flies under the radar but still a really handsome piece. Pick it up tuesday.

went to the AD to try on some watches, at one point the sales associate brought out a platinum day date with the ice blue dial. The thing felt so fuarking massive, like the same jump from stainless steel to gold (gold being ~2.3x more dense than stainless steel) it felt like the same jump going to platinum. Such a god tier material (srs) like it feels like there is no question that you are wearing the king of watches with it. My one nitpick about the platinum daydate is that it doesn't have a fluted bezel (supposedly because working the platinum is so difficult) - it would seriously be perfect if it had the fluted bezel

the platinum daydate or meteorite daydate would be so hnnnngh for a daily wearer (neither are my pics)

The crown is made out of platinum m8. The bezel would be no problem.

You could probably make a couple grand on a quick flip to a gray dealer on the platinum.
