Resale aside the watch is great in black with white registers so I decided to buy it. Will sell my Tudor bronze now, and this will be my replacement as a "beater". Flies under the radar but still a really handsome piece. Pick it up tuesday.

Nice let us know how you decide to sell the other Tudor. I felt crown and caliber was fair for making it super simple, can probably get more somewhere else I’m sure though.

I like that a lot. The tudor hands are such a nice touch on that dial. Pics on sausage wrist?

Such a god tier material (srs) like it feels like there is no question that you are wearing the king of watches with it. My one nitpick about the platinum daydate is that it doesn't have a fluted bezel (supposedly because working the platinum is so difficult) - it would seriously be perfect if it had the fluted bezel

the platinum daydate or meteorite daydate would be so hnnnngh for a daily wearer (neither are my pics)

That's such a good looking fukking watch.

You could probably make a couple grand on a quick flip to a gray dealer on the platinum.
Just the crown? Didn't realize that… not sure why they wouldn't do the fluted bezel (srs) it would look so perfect I think on the platinum model

Anyways, more random watches… anyone like the AP ROO Safari? The brown hornback leather strap is pretty unique, this seems like it would be a fun daily watch to rotate with

I dunno what it is about the ROO….but for me…das just not it mane.

Maybe it's the chuckiness or overly….playfulness? Definitely doesnt scream a 5 figure watch.

Ill go put on all my watches and take a pic in front of the steering wheel on my 155k mile GTI.

Might be making a big boy purchase soon. Possibly going into a venture with a buddy of mine i know to purchase a commercial building. He wants to upgrade his gym, and there are already a couple tenants in the building. But the biggest tenant was a gym who failed with a totally potato concept…and all the equipment is *still there*. So we're like heeeeeey.

Might be a while for my next watch purchase.

No shame in that my man. Already have an Air King and a Speedmaster, more than sufficient pieces. Better to make the long term investments first before stacking multiple watches serving the same fuking function for no other reason than hype.

But in all seriousness. Loving the tudor chronograph. 2 registers like i like so very legible, no "easy adjustment" on the clasp but there are micro adjustments possible with a push pin, 70hour power reserve, and 200meter water resistance. Perfect daily driver. I was one of the people most cringed by the faux rivets but unless you look for them you don't see them. I wanted to get the new speedmaster but this is a great piece so i'm good. In all honesty, I could just throw a reverso in this collection and be donezo. But i'll still dream of the day i can bag the 126715.

That's kinda my thought right now. This could potentially be an amazing opportunity and it's a guy i know through work very well (go to his gym actually). I have the educational side with business, he as the cut his teeth in his side gig angle. He is also kinda topped out in the company, so he has the motivation to want to not be here anymore and be successful enough to move on and do investments/property management and other businesses.

The building we're looking at is essentially a standing strip mall, with a failed gym in the huge portion of it. The other 4 spots for tenants have 2 filled, and he already has other local businesses who want in if we snag it. His gym is successful enough to move in and pay the mortgage alone for the building. So i feel super positive about it.

Love my SMP. It’s surprisingly kept its value as I was fortunate to buy before the price increase plus a discount last year.

You guys are funny. No one said anything about the first pic, but are flipping out about the 2nd photo which (i thought) was clearly taken at a goofy angle to show how slim the case was.
