of course it would. had that lens and was happy with it before it was stolen. i would still rent the 24-70 anyway. why not? gives you versatility

So I recently purchased a Sony a6000 and am really enjoying so far.

The lenses i currently have are

Sony E 50mm f/1.8 http://www.amazon.com/Sony-50mm-Mid-...ny+50+mm+f+1.8
Sigma 30mm F2.8 EX DN http://www.amazon.com/Sigma-30mm-F2-.../dp/B0078ZYBP0

Looking to get a wide angle primes lens to round off what I want to learn with starting off. Does anyone have any suggestion? I listed two links below that I've looked at

I was definitely checking out the 24-70 lens. That one is an amazing lens all around.

Need beginner camera advice.

Looking to spend maybe $1500 for everything I need (Camera, Some glass, Tripod, etc).

Hoping to do some portrait, landscape and travel photography. As well as some videography.

Suggest me anything you think would suit the budget. Thanks!

Finally got around to pulling some pics off of my camera. It's nothing special, older Sony NEX-5 with the stock 18-55mm lens. I tweaked them a bit with the editor that comes with windows, not really sure what I was doing, just played with settings till I got something I liked. I found I liked cranking up the saturation to really brighten up the colors, but like I said, no real clue what I'm doing so any tips advice criticism is always welcome.

Here are a few of my favorites right now.

Btw, if you want a camera for shooting wildlife, get the D500. A 42-50mp FX DSLR from Nikon won't come with more than 6fps. Years ago they made the mistake of offering a D700 that could shoot 8fps with a grip (+ D3 battery or 8 AAs) and similar AF performance. That obviously affected D3/D3s sales. They won't make that mistake again.
Had no idea re: the D810 with that ability. Dayum!

I guess if you can find a gray market D810 under $2K it might be worth grabbing one but I'd rather wait for its replacement.

That 1EV limitation is a cruel joke and if you're shooting longer exposures in fading light it'd be a waste of time bracketing more than 2 frames. Only way around it is that idea I stumbled on a few years back using Helicon Remote. My setup looks like this. Last resort of course. I'd rather have it neatly integrated.

There's a guy on here that hates that term, but i think it applies, could take it to the next level and get the reflection in the glasses to be more captivating? Dunno what was around you but a sidewalk and you taking the picture isn't the best use of the reflection.

I can't take pictures of people to save my life.

Did a 12 stitch shot for more detail or to print large scale? Why not just one shot with a wide angle lens? Its hard to captivate the same feeling you get in person, with a photograph as far as landscape goes, especially when it's due to the vastness of it all, rather than a mountain or tree in particular. I'm sure being there may have been an awestruck feeling, especially when you have to hike to get there, the picture doesn't bring the aching legs and out of breath factor to the audience. I've climbed a handful of mountains in Colorado and it's always more rewarding in person. That being said, maybe next time you could get some more interesting foreground in the shot, get a green pine to fill up the screen on the left or right, or a shrub with some color in it, if you don't have anything good like that nearby then even your hiking bag, with some poles and snow shoes propped up against it, or a pet dog looking towards the lake. (Better yet have a chick looking over the lake pulling you forward by your hand, that's a great photography fad.) Also just unfortunate that the sky is uninteresting, very similar color to the snow around you, sort of blends everything together. Maybe some lightroom work could darken the clouds to make them stand out better.

Didn't know you were Chicago based, I work in Quincy, IL down South by a good 3 hours or so, for about 3 years now. Been to Chicago a few times for a concert, bears game, all blacks vs usa game, can't say I'm a huge fan of the place, not used to cities, but would like to pick your brain next time I'm headed that way for some good photography spots if you don't mind.

Also my instagram has nothing to do with photography, I guess product photography maybe, but appreciate any looks, will follow photo misc bros.

Brother lives in SF, had a great time photographing the golden gate, and the botanical gardens. Not a huge fan of the filter on your last shot, or the people actually, but little you can do about that, the buildings are what I enjoy, the people seem to distract from that IMO.

Shot my first Volleyball tourney with the new D750 on Saturday. The percentage of in focus shots has gone up drastically. Of the 200 or so shots, I only had 2 out of focus. That's a significant upgrade to my old 70d. I can't guarantee that it's the camera making the difference or if I'm just getting better. I'll take it either way. I did have some shots with too slow of a shutter speed and blurring some motion, but that's ok too.
