There is a large Seiko modding community. They can make the Seiko look like basically any style of diver you can imagine (so long as it is not a Chrono).

The most common style of diver mimicked by Seiko modders is the Yachtmaster.

Regardless, if you like that style of watch, here are better alternatives, some half the price:
That Blancpain looks alright for the type of watches you posted. But that Chopard and (unsurprisingly) that JLC look giga-fugly. I'd wear the Chanel over those any day, especially in europe where people actually know watches outside of Rolex. Chanel is more horologically sound than Cartier these days.

My guess is he wants a submariner or datejust, most likely a submariner.

Fast forward 3 months of posts (and shock around the AD process), he gets "the call" but not for a submariner… a deepsea which after 3 months of getting bounced around by ADs, he happily accepts.

If datejust, he decides he wants the blue or rhodium dial with jubilee/fluted combo, then the above situation plays out where "the call" features a white dial with smooth bezel.

I've already got an Omega Seamaster PO which was my dream watch growing up, but RMs are just so cool and kind of a grail watch. Maybe if I had half a billion dollars would I ever buy one of these, but at $700 I might risk it and get this replica. I want to learn more about them though, I don't want to get ripped off or it's a total crud of a watch.
