But that was better than our other GSD who was my spirit animal who suddenly came down a plethora of symptoms because he was just full of cancer apparently with a giant mass on his pine that gave way and in a week he went from good as always to being put down and I said bye-for-now when he got sedated for the MRI/whatever but they found so much it wasn't right to wake him back up from that so that was it

Seymour does find fry in the tube, Fry's idiot parents come and get Seymour and drag him away from the tube while mumbling about how the dog needs to lead them to Philip (Fry).

Seymour waits outside of the pizza shop where Fry used to work, for 12 years, for Fry to come back.

Fry never comes back.

That's the gif

Also, they find the petrified remains of Seymour in the future and the professor is going to clone Seymour AND through cartoon magic Seymour will have his memories.

But when Fry finds out Seymour lived so long after Fry left, Fry says Seymour will have forgot about Fry so Fry does not do the cloning.

So Seymour never gets to see Fry again even though he could have.

Son's, Daughter's, mine.

My dad wears hearing aids partly due to the volume of an M2 firing over his head. Vietnam. It was within a few months of when I was born so I can't claim it traumatized me. I also know there were other things happening that caused damage to his ears, but one incident with an M2 did enough damage that he had to be transferred out. That's been on my mind since he was visiting this week because even with the nice hearing aids the VA provided, he has trouble hearing.

In reality, both the M2 and being transferred may have saved his life, but seeing how much hearing loss affects him now biases me against loud. And no, I'm not comparing a .223 to a .50. Just saying why I can't find louder to be a plus.

But obviously I'll do me, and you'll do you, and I won't laugh at your firearm or caliber choices whether or not you can hear me

(big fan of Peltor hearing protection, could you have guessed)

Different strokes I suppose. I probably shoot two or three times as much 22 lr as everything else put together. It's far cheaper to shoot and easier to focus on fundamentals due to the reduced sound and recoil. It doesn't replace my practice with centerfires, but by shooting 22 lr I can get a lot more practice volume in. I think I have 7 at the moment, all different models, but it's the only cartridge I have more than 2 of.

went to the range last weekend with my bro, shot his first AR for the first time. i can tell hes getting enthusiastic about firearms, and its because of all the different rifles i showed him when hed come over or boxing. also got the canted iron sights sighted in on my 5.56 AR 15 and .308 Aero M5. but using the ACOG is alot more fun.

Next up, either a 12 gauge (tried trap recently, liked it) or a GSG-16 for more fun plinking.

there was a time when i felt the same way about .22 lr, it just felt inadequate. but after the sandy hook incident and .22lr disappeared for years it made me realize how much i love that caliber, especially when running an M&P 15-22 or a beretta M9 22

I hope it happens that way. I just feel wrong telling someone it's cool to get a braced gun right now.

Better yet, at this point it could be argued that SBRs aren't unusual anymore and we're never anymore dangerous. Therefore they need to be released from the NFA.

Not quite all there is to it, a little more complicated than that.

With a barrel shorter than 16" it could be a short barrel rifle, a pistol, a 'firearm', or an any other weapon, I believe are the 4 possibilities. But I am not up to speed on this week's current thing because I am personally for now sticking to "rifle" or "stamped SBR" and that's it

*barrel shorter that 16 or OAL length less than 26" I believe

To me, the whole point is to have something less than 26" at that point, but that's actually hard to do with a suppressor.

SBR/supp for me regardless.

26" does seem difficult suppressed, but what's special about that length functionally? My KT RDB is about 27" with a 17" barrel. With an 8" barrel and 8" suppressor it would be 26 so doable, but why? Unless you extended the barrel heat shield and rails around the suppressor it'd be super cramped. Although with a shroud like that it would be awesome. (Web search time!)

I've used them before. It's hard to zero and doesn't really retain zero all that well. You also have to lube the reset mechanism with white lithium grease to get it to work in most firearms, but the documentation they provide is pretty sparse. IMO the real benefit is for avoiding having to reset the hammer by charging the rifle every time, so you can do strings of multiple shots and you don't develop a training scar to just pull the trigger once.

If you use it, it's probably worth ~$half-a-case
