well next month is gonna be crap
October 18th looks like date when treasury will run out of emergency funds to pay off debt
debt ceiling was put back in place last month
if they don't increase it market is gonna implode
(they will come together last minute as usual to raise it but everything up to that october 18th might be nothing but volatility)

Yep
I’m not expecting anything amazing, but I think the market will bounce back a bit tomorrow.

sure looks like that from that article
let me expand on this.
here is history of recent debt ceiling talk
(if keeping score republican presidents have raised debt 49 times / democrat 29 times)
never in history has there been default
https://bipartisanpolicy.org/debt-limit-history/
someone should look into those near misses and how market reacted leading up to deadline.
from memory 2019 we had pullback in market due to it.
if for whatever reason there was even default everything would be get massive haircut not just stocks / real estate etc
sp would be going -30 percent down
https://www.moodysanalytics.com/-/me...debt-limit.pdf
now that doom and gloom is out of way. (won't happen imo)
realistic path is probably few government shut downs here and there nothing but political fear and uncertainty till they agree last second.
republicans will say oh my god think of the children debt is too high etc. just political posturing
from today till that deadline we are gonna be having high volatility in stock market
probably dangerous game for anyone buying short options or quick swing trades.

Just bought a Nov. put on CLF. I think it's definitely far from bottoming, especially seeing how it's rejecting prior support.

Still hovering 1% within all time high, why is everyone freaking out? Is it because they invest in nonsense “growth and tech stonks that don’t make any money” *laughs whilst hugging a barrel of crude*
