the only sectors i would be buying now are financials, commodities, and real estate (reits) ….everything else is massively overvalued the SP500 P/E ratio is at all time highs and I dont see any good news ahead. Earnings are overly inflated due to low rates and stimmy checks, inflation is going to massively hurt companies (higher prices = less sales) and also, tax increases will hurt the bottom line as well…lastly, when interest rates go up (which they will) it pulls money out of the equity market and into fixed income

Commodities are at all time low valuations !! Financials will benefit from rising rates and a real estate expansion cycle..And real estate is a steady safe haven that has yield. Tech stocks are ridiculous right now…If you know how to do discounted cash flows to calculate NPV and IRR….you will see

My prediction here is the QQQ will correct back down to its pre-covid levels of $235

If you want a safe index fund to buy its called SPYD ….very low value, nice yield, and safe

SD is an unhedged natural gas producer. 10 bagger if you bought at march lows.

BTU is the meme coal stock. Also benefits from higher natty prices. Good entry points right now and strong hold till 20s.

exactly..buying undervalued assets and swapping them when they get overvalued. Much better than buying high and trying to sell higher

I buy low when there's a catalyst and the fundamentals make sense

Sprott launches their Uranium physical fund -> Catalyst for price discovery
Underinvestment in energy and ESG -> Catalyst for higher Oil prices

Glad to see some value folks back ITT after all the pumping of meme tech stocks. What are y'alls picks on the financials side and non-energy commodities (i.e. miners)?

COIN coming in with an ROE of 107%.

If that isn't "value", then I don't know what is tbh.

It isn't 1999 anymore.

No, I just get annoyed when people act as if there is no 'value' in tech stocks….. As if internet businesses are unproven & unprofitable lol.

Look at some tech balance sheets/income and you will see some of the best value in the history of business.

This is a good way of putting it

I brought up BTU months ago on another forum that leans heavily towards the ESG side and guys in there were all “hue hue hue coal is dead the companies are uninvestable”

Not throwing money at that is the closest I’ve come to regret so far
