market is rotational

if every hedge fund piled into same sector there would be infinite upside forever

inflation has been happening all year nothing new but now it has picked up again, because jpow has started to loosen his transitory talk

debt ceiling talk is just news story that will keep getting attention will be non event

if you want reason why yield is rising (look at inflation / oil / natural gas etc)

good chart to see that high yields cause growth/tech to suffer look at ARKK (overlay 10 year on it)

there was the second biggest outflow out of ARKK funds last week since February

tech is for sure going lower in the long term. The nasdaq has an insanely high price to earnings ratio from a historical standpoint, we just handed thousand dollar checks to pretty much every citizen, and rates are at 0. Get ready for the rotation into value/commodities. I would be shorting ARKK like crazy, the chart looks ultra bearish..oil stocks look really bullish from a long term perspective they have been breaking some downtrends and the outlook is positive…

I dont know how people can justify tech right now…last year everyone used their services because of the lockdowns..if anything people will be cancelling their netflix memberships and doing more things in person. Just wait until earnings and guidance outlook doesnt meet expectations…oh boy

Agreed TECH innovation seems to BE reaching a SLOWING pace I mean HOW much BIGGER and THINNER CAN they MAKE the new IPHONE the CHIT already has 4 cameras I mean COMMON besides people UPGRADING I think the HYPE of BIGGER screens and CHIT is over YEAH you will ALWAYS need to BUY a new phone every COUPLE years but I think UPGRADING just BECAUSE the CAMERAS are BETTER is OVER same WITH computer is MEAN chit has like 16 CORE cpus 10 terabyte SSDs 8k displays BESIDES replacing an OLD computer YOU aren't REALLY getting a FASTER or more POWERFUL computer ANYMORE the IMPROVEMENTS seem to BE stagnating and MARGINAL which DOES not INTICE people to UPGRADE I even think APPLE has seen DECREASE in iphone sales DESPITE the COMPUTERS making UP like 80% of their INCOME.

Tides come in, tides come out. Can't explain that.

The tech bubble of the early 2000's was exactly that, a bubble. The majority of those companies were nothing but shells and frauds. Does anyone remember the cannabis sector ~ 4years ago? Same thing happened and the sector came crashing down with a handful of survivors.

Are we in a bubble now? Probably. But nobody knows how or when it will correct, or if the sector will lose it's luster in the future. Mays'well make gains while you can and hopefully you don't over risk yourself and blow up.

and this is the type of "you don't have f'ing idea wtf you are talking about" (I'm in the field)

Tech is BOOOOOMING and we are just beginning

1. devices capacity need to keep increasing to account for new apps/processes
2. AI/ML are HUGE and right now thanks to AWS/Microsoft mere mortals have access to that type of technology for almost nothing - this will undoubtedly bring innovation
3. Data Intelligence is only going to get bigger
4. a 10% improvement for the avg user is nothing but for apps is HUGE so don't think for a sec than a 5-10-15% is "nothing"
5. Like literally EVERYTHING around us revolves around technology from the moment the f'ing phone rings the alarm in the morning to the end of the day when we turn off the tv

People only think about tech as "bigger" but look at for example how paypal/square/affirm are taking a zhit on the biggest banks/visa/master card and amex!

Small companies nowadays can bring down any major corporation (or at least put a huge dent) thanks to… guess… f'ing technology

Yes, and now tech is the 'present'…. Just look at their income statements/revenue growth. This is not 1999.

EV/space trash is the 'bubble' of today (no earnings, sometimes literally zero revenue lmao)

There are plenty of tech companies pumping big earnings and better than 50% revenue growth. Again, this was not true in 1999.
