My current set up, I may buy some more GA-2100's The metal versions are going up in price as we speak. The green will be the hardest to obtain.

Currently at the 4 stores in my area that are authorized G-Shock booths……they have none of the GA-2100 models…….its all grey market now.
The purple and black one is selling for 600$

I just like that the ga2100's are thinner……my ex took her big ass g shock to Afghanistan a few times and gave it to me. I could't wear that anywhere lol

But the thinner ones….for sure! Gonna get a few more and maybe some investment pieces.

Goes against the grain of the typical DJ in just about every aspect, aside from dial color…I'm not mad at it tbh
My number 1 requirement was a blue dial (non-negotiable) 2nd was a date window. After playing with many micro brands, divers, buying and selling at or under 1k I decided I wanted something I could wear at any time, from suit to board shorts.

In my mind, fluted plus jubilee is too loud, so it would have to be either fluted/oyster or jubilee/flat bezel.

I’m absolutely in love. The azzurro dial is incredible and the polished Roman numerals match the polished bezel. So when he texted me, I said mine.

Smiles in 126715. Flying to ***** later today and will be out there a week. Will likely take a spin around some ADs at some point just to see what the market looks like over there.

mirin collection! that is crazy though, it looks like you can still order some of the basic color configs (like black) directly from the g-shock site.

For sure! But the rare ones or the new metal ones you cannot ;( Same atmosphere as Rolex and other higher end models…..head to the grey market for the good ones that you actually want.

Amen to that. It's not a giant gawdy G-shock and is super aesthetic.

that will probably be the cheapest watch you see there. i was there 4 years ago with some business partners and one of the guys spent 500k on a table and didnt even flinch. they all had RM's on, before the hype train hit. purchased at a DISCOUNT from their dealer…imagine what it's worth now

So my AD called today and notified he was able to get me the GMT Black/Blue on an Oyster Bracelet (i.e. "Batman"). I wanted it on a jubilee ("Batgirl" no homo) but given today's market, beggars can't be choosers, so I took it. I have it here now brand new still in box. What are my options if I want to switch the oyster bracelet to jubilee? Based on my limited research, it seems like it's not exactly an easy task…

(A) Should I contact a grey market dealer and see if they would be open to a swap? Batman for Batgirl? I see DavidSW has this unworn Batgirl in stock.
https://davidsw.com/shop/watch/rolex...on-jubilee-40/

(B) Source a jubilee bracelet off eBay and have it changed?

(C) Just keep it on the Oyster?

Also, this is the second piece my AD was able to get me. Should I get him a small gift or something? (no homo).

Please respond.

Congrats you lucky SOB. I'd just keep it on the oyster personally. Sorry I can't help you on whether the jubilee would be something you could swap out. I remember reading you couldn't do that on the old model, but with the new release of the oyster bracelet idk if it's changed.

If it's the current model 126710BLNR, Rolex now allows you to buy the jubilee bracelet by itself from them. I think it was supposed to be early this year or maybe in the next few months that they'll start taking orders. Just speak to your AD or call RSC.

Thanks. I'll look into that. What would I then do with the spare Oyster bracelet? Is that something I can sell? I don't foresee myself switching them back and forth although I suppose it would be a nice option to have…

Ironically, I put in a request to my AD for this exact watch and/or the GMT Batgirl.

He called today and got me the Batman. Can't believe he was able to get me that over a Datejust. Crazy times!

Completely random and luck-based. It took 3 days for my local retailer to get me my 41mm Datejust with fluted bezzle and jubille bracelet, Some had to wait for months. the 41m datejusts with fluted bezzel are becoming very difficult to get recently I don't know why

You should be able to get back the cost or even more if you sell the oyster since your AD isn't supposed to sell it to you unless you can provide proof of a model that allows it. I would keep both and get a Bergeon 7825 and use both.

Thank you brah. I decided I am going to purchase the jubilee bracelet from the AD. Appreciate your help.

EDIT: I just googled Bergeon 7825. I see so it's a tool that would allow me to interchange the bracelets myself? That would be a huge plus not having to run to the AD everytime I want to swap them. I'd be afraid I'd damage the watch though…

It's not too difficult if you're using the proper tool. Just tape up the back of the lugs with some blue painter's tape. Always remove from the back so if you do fuk it up at least it's on the backside. With the tape on you should be fine though.

I've been on several wait lists for nearly a year now for any colorway sub w/date, and GMT II, nada. I started reaching out to other AD's out of state, and was told several times that they can only sell to locals per a 2021 rolex rule… fuark.

One local deal straight up told me "A ton of people have recently realized the investment benefits of a rolex, something that will maintain or increase its value, and have been trying to scoop up everything they can find. My phone actually rings anywhere from 200-300 times per day asking about these pieces…"

Guess I'll just LDAR.
