this game ALL comes down to the dline. Pressure Goff and he's cooked. Give him a clean pocket and he'll pick you apart.

Agree with the pressure part. I don't think he's good enough to pick anyone apart unless he has unlimited time.

The only way the niners lose this is if Purdy does what Purdy does in big games and makes stupid mistakes.
Early AM workout crew.

Glad they pulled these last two wins out, but overall underwhelming play for the whole game but managing to get it done and pull through when things aren't going well is respectable. Far from their best football. Going to have to play a full game of their best ball to beat Chiefs. Let's get some revenge for the last time we played em in the SB. Niners!

Wearing that new red 49ers faithful t-shirt worked miracles

key takeaways:
Brock running for first downs
Stopping them on 4th downs
Ayuk circus helmet catch
Deboo mixing it up

What a win. This is up there with that Saints win as one of the best 49ers wins I've seen.

I know! I couldn’t believe Brock running like Lamar didn’t do.

Aiyuk’s catch was insane.

Bosa finally sacking again.

CMC isn’t human but that’s nothing new. I saw his training video on IG and he’s a beast.

great game but this team is farrrrr from great. 2019 was wayyyy better (except for QB). This defense is an absolute JOKE, not SB caliber at all. They are lucky they've had homefield.

This year i'm not seeing Bosa and front line bringing the pressure. As soon initial push fails to pressure QB Bosa slacks and stiff and immobile. The secondary is only good enough when the front line gets pressure.

They were also missing tackles like eagles were in their game and many times on 3rd down too.

I'm a UK brah so game started at 11.40pm for me (had work the next day) was about to call it a night at 24 - 7 but thought i'd give it one more drive…and that's when the comeback began! Juan Jenning's one-handed catch on 3rd down seemed to be the turning point

It's pretty simple. We come out playing like we did vs Packers/Lions against the Chiefs and we're watching them win back to back SBs.

I'm not going to lie the struggles we just had vs these two NFC teams do not inspire confidence at all. The defense looked terrible in the first half and they're not playing Patrick Mahomes. The run defense has been a f*cking disaster and even our top dogs are playing sloppy - Fred Warner we're gonna need you to stop missing tackles.

This is also easily the best defense we're playing since the Ravens. Lions were terrible vs the pass and were mid level defense overall 23rd points allowed/19th yards allowed. Packers were terrible vs the run and were 10th vs points allowed and 17th in yards allowed.

Chiefs are 2nd in both. They have players all over the place too. Chris Jones is a damn terror. To me he's the guy who won the game for the Chiefs in 2019. His pressure, his ability to knock down passes will be a real issue. What's worse is now they're not a single guy DL. Karlaftis is coming on and they have some talented rushers to rotate in there though they did lost our old friend Charles Omenihu who was playing VERY well for them. Their secondary is what makes me the most nervous though. It's young but they're absolutely balling right now. McDuffie and Sneed are sticky as f*ck. Our guys will need to be on their game big time.

Their linebackers may not be elite in pass coverage but they're quick and tackle very well. Their whole defense tackles very well. Something ours hasn't done recently.

Brock is really going to have to be on his game, so will our OL which is a tough ask. Brock will have to process quick, get the ball out fast and likely hang in there and take some hits. He may have to step up with his legs again.

Either way…I'd rather have these concerns and have a chance to prove them wrong and a chance to win the SB vs not actually being in the game. We're in the dance. Now we have to put our best foot forward and beat an excellent team with the best QB in the game.

It's going to take everyone doing their job from coaching to players. Let's end the season with a win!

It's Wilks…he better use these damn 2 weeks to figure something out quickly.

He's good at making 2nd half adjustments but if we're being honest we had help from the Lions in getting those stops. Mahomes and Reid won't make those mistakes.

We go into this game playing our soft zone D and Mahomes and Kelce are going to set records.

Vegas has been wrong about the Chiefs every single week since they covered the 7.5 point spread against Cincinnati in Week 17. 5-0 ATS since the Christmas debacle. Just FYI.
All it takes is Mookie Betts, Steph Curry, and Joe Burrow all sitting in the same car in order for one drunk driver to make the world a significantly better place.

I'll be realistic, the Niners have a very TINY chance of winning the SB. Their dline is trash, their entire defense has been totally ineffective in the playoffs. Their oline is NOT GOOD either, and Brock has been running for his life since the playoffs started.

Then you have to face Reid/Mahomes/Spags? lmao, Shanahan is going to have to pull off a miracle. I don't give a fucc what Vegas says the odds are, I'm just being realistic about this. Niners are extremely lucky to be here.

The way they've played in the playoffs I don't disagree at all.

Having said that…49ers have been one of, if not the best teams in the NFL this season. They need to find a way to get back to that version of themselves and they're in the dance. Can't win it if you're not in it and lucky or not they got an invite.

Now we see if they can close the deal or get worked by KC once again.

I'm going in with low expectations but anything is possible. Our guys are talented…the talent has to step up in the big game. Simple as that.

they have top end talent, especially at the skill positions. but they lack talent where it matters most: in the trenches. their guards and center suck, right tackle is CHEEKS, they only have two good dlinemen.

In the words of the great George Kittle, "we have some unfinished business" and suppose every player plays 2 Detroit Lions 2nd halves?
Why not us?

That's not true. Banks and Brendel may not be Thuney and Humphrey but they're both solid. Brendel especially has been playing better recently. The right side has been a weak link and will have to be better but since Feliciano has played more it's been less of a weakness.

Also we have more than 2 good DLmen. The other guys just have to play better and up to their paychecks. Kinlaw has also ironically been playing his best ball lately and has made big plays in limited snaps.

The talent is there, it just has to be put together at the same time.

So i have been watching the interviews and all the players report that they must play for all 4 quarters, unlike last time, and that the team must improve in all areas to beat KC.
I watched Warner and Bosa talk about the game yesterday.
Obvious to us as fans, but glad to hear them admit it in the open to reporters.
They probably dissected the tape and concluded the obvious.

the tape doesn't lie. the Niners got manhandled in the trenches on both sides. Only reason they won is Purdy and Shanny pulled a rabbit out their ass.
