Also pre-ordered a long time ago through GoG. In fact, I initially bought through Steam, found out that GoG is run by CDPR and that they see more of the money when bought through GoG, cancelled my Steam pre-order, and went to GoG

Cyberpunk 2077 Melee Combat Is “Mechanically” Fun; A Few Bullets Are Enough to Kill the Player
A new Cyberpunk 2077 hands-on preview has gone live a few hours ago, revealing some interesting new details on melee combat and more.
According to Easy Allies' Ben Moore, melee combat in Cyberpunk 2077 is "mechanically" fun. At first, it looks awkward, but there are quite a few mechanics that make it fun, like light and heavy attacks, parries, guard breaks, dodging, and more.

My World of Cyberpunk 2077 book finally came in. Read about the first 1/3 of it this afternoon.
Holy. Fk. It's extremely easy to see how/why this game has been in the making for ~9 years. There's absolutely no other game that will have this level of details, back stories, etc. You couldn't possibly ask for a more immersive world than Night City will be.
From the hundreds of brands they created for cars, weapons manufacturers, food and drink products, etc etc to the seemingly endless amounts of advertisements they made for said brands. Or from the backstory of who Nomads are, how they came to be, etc. I could go on forever. But it's extremely clear to see that CDPR will have done things we've never seen done on this level with this game when it releases.
They've done so much more than just create this world as you see it at face value. It has levels of real detail and EVERYTHING has history and lore behind it.

After reading the World Of Cyberpunk 2077 book, I'm more hyped than any video so far has made me. You're doing yourself a massive disservice by not buying it if you're into this game. I'm convinced that we've yet to see a game that will have this level of detail and history/lore behind into EVERYTHING. If I have any concern - it's that with the insane amount of time they had to have spent on all the small details, they could actually not spend enough time on the bigger aspects of the game.
I can't imagine how much time it must have taken just for the in game companies and ads alone…
For example there's in game ads and billboards for everything you could imagine to see in a real city. Food and drink companies, car companies, prosthetics companies, movies/tv shows, clothing companies, cologne companies….there's way more I can't even think of right off. And the ads aren't lame and generic either. They look like real ads you'd see IRL.
There's a rhyme and reason for why certain parts of the city have certain races that are more prominent there, a reason why some parts are more dangerous than others and the history behind it, etc.
Bottom line: If you're interested in the game - buy the fking book. There's a LOT of bad ass information to learn from it: all the different gangs, the individual districts of the city, prominent and popular places in the city, vehicles, weapons, cyber prosthetics…you name it, it's in there. All great stuff to know before starting the game!

Good marketing lol.
Just searched for it. Definitely want to read the lore as the world building looks spectacular so far. This game is going to do what TLOU2 couldn't.

It's tempting to pick up that book but I'm actually leaning towards backing off from the details until the game drops. Already convinced it's a lock, they're gonna knock this out of the park. Now I mostly want to leave some stuff to imagination and then discovery after loading 'er up

Apparently the delays happened at the 91-days mark prior to the slated release date. We're currently 92 days away from November 19th. Let's hope for the best

Last I heard this game comes out in September. Are we still on board for a 2021 release as per my predictions?
