Brahs, for AK's is it better to get FMJ, hollow point, or soft point?
The Russian hollow points usually don’t expand much at all. The soft points are like a dialed down 30-30. The fmj perform pretty decent as well. It’s a center fire rifle round, any of them will work well for HD if that’s what your question was geared toward

My dumbass bought a complete KAC SR-15 CQB factory SBR lol.
Guess I finally got the lower I wanted. I'll be selling the upper for retail if anyone here is interested. Has the new 3.2 bolt and is notched.

Anyone want a UH1 for $300+ shipping? Gen 2 model, shot a couple hundred rounds through it and was gonna replace my Eotech but not allowed at my department. No signs of warm figure I'd let it go for a good deal to a miscer.
Also have a primary arms 1-6x ACSS with aero mount I'd sell for $200. No rounds through it.

someone explain why you'd put a silencer on a handgun? (not referring to AR pistol) Only scenarios I can think of are handgun hunting and handgun for home defense.
Handgun hunting is legit use but not popular. I get HD if it's a nightstand gun, but I doubt that's very common either.
So we mostly use handguns for carry, concealed or open, so why would you train with a silencer?
Not sure I'm allowed to ask this question, so just delete it if it breaks any rules.

I put some corn and camera out towards the back of my property for deer. Got a few deer pics, but also coons, possum, and some kind of swamp rat. Possum can live, but the coons are defiitely going to need dispatched. Wish I had thermal, but think I'll end up in the tree stand with a spot light. There's a lot of skunks in my area but haven't seen any on my property yet. My friend who is a couple miles away said they've been bothering his chickens.
I need to get in your gardening thread and pick up some ideas. Want to be set up for next year.

Nice. I live out west and my house is surrounded by pasture and farms. There are no houses behind mine for a mile, but my house is about 120 yards from my parents' house and there is a neighbor across the road about 150 yards away. I don't worry about noise too much, there are no county restrictions, but I have membership at a shooting range that is a short drive away, so I usually just go there if I have a lot of shooting to do. If I'm working up a new load, I do like having the option to shoot in the backyard. It's pretty handy to shoot over the chronograph, bump the charge up or down depending on measured velocity and shoot again. I can generally get about 50 yards easily; although, this time of year I suppose I could put up targets in the field and shoot farther.
Honestly even without the neighbor concerns I still like a suppressor for shooting around the property. I'll shoot 22 rifles without hearing protection, but not pistols unless it was an emergency. Definitely an expensive luxury though.
Too cold for wild hogs in your area? Sounds like a cool area you have with wildlife. We see deer out in the farmland occasionally, but it's rare. Whitetails are becoming more common, but historically it was all mule deer in my area and they only come down from the higher elevations during a bad winter. In recent years farmers have been growing more corn and I think that has really helped the whitetails. We used to see a lot of foxes, but it seems like coyotes and raccoons have pushed them out. Birds are the game animal we see most often close to our house - pheasants, Hungarian partridge, and doves.

there's feral hogs in nearby counties, not mine. Might try to get one when I get thermal. Have a bunch of coyotes in the area. Whitetail and black bear hunting are big. Hopefully get some more deer on cam once they cut the bean fields. Ducks are big too. Back property border is decent sized creek and my buddy (duckhunter) says I should get some wood ducks back there.
I can get 80 yds but need to put up a backstop. I got 16 used railroad ties (free) that I'm going to stack and push up some dirt. So many projects…

Follow up on the Callaway Ballistics' 9mm. So far, it's great. I was measuring the 147 grain case as long in one of my ammo gauges so I called them. Their engineer Hal talked me through measuring a few with calipers and they were all perfectly fine and dropped into the barrels of two pistols, but not in the gauge. After the call I figured out my Shooter's Box gauge is under 9mm past the case shoulder, 8.98mm. Federal HST 147 won't drop into it either. I'd never used it on 147 rounds before. Just on plinking ammo.
Callaway seems to burn quite a bit cleaner than Winchester white box. I also had two light primer strikes on the Winchester out of 100 rounds today.
Those were my fault, not S&W's or Winchester's. I got some goo in the firing pin channel last week while "cleaning" the Shield. It had been CLP break free 25 years ago when I stuck it in a box and forgot about it, but now it's goo so I use it on a bore snake to clean barrels. Dripped some where it shouldn't have been and like an idiot, I figured I'd just add some spray on Hornady lube on it to liquify it so I could wipe it off. What I actually did was push some into the striker channel.
But even if it was my fault, there were no failure to fire on 200 rounds of the Callaway ammo or on a couple of mags of Federal. If I have no issues with the remaining boxes I'll order from them again. Good ammo, good prices, and good customer service. Also veteran owned.

In other words, gun control is relatively unlikely for the next couple of years or more. That's how you get relatively low prices.

Question:
If you use reloads/remains in a gun. I read somewhere if they ruin the gun(explode or mess it up) the factory warranty is voided.
True or false?

Each manufacturer will be different, but it's a safe assumption. Good luck getting any manufacturer to cover any kind of warranty claim like that, reman ammo or otherwise.
