I turned 30 in May and a 24 year old woman sent me a rose on Hinge with a message about how she wants to date an older man who has his life together, I got double offended because 30 isn't old but I also don't have my life together

Too much of a people pleaser …being able to say no to distractions like going out and partying etc is the most important thing in life imo
A weekend bender here and there compounds and after 36 years you definitely see the effects

I’ll be swiping on hinge and be matched with a 31 year old
And in my mind I’ll think “wow so old”
But then I’ll realize I’m 5 years older.

Then I realized I am 58.

Tried to rep you for a good thread Brad, but I guess I'm on spread.
I turn 46 later this year. I think I feel about my age. Maybe a little delusional when I play basketball. Sometimes I forget I can't jump anymore, and I tweaked my angle trying to sprint to defend a fast break this morning. I think I get hurt more from trying to sprint hard more often than anything else. Usually, it's a pulled muscle.
I have old man stresses now - older kids pulling away, medical stuff, keeping a business afloat, etc.
I have a wonderful family and a good career. I feel blessed overall. I have old man regrets though. Sometimes wish I'd picked a different career that paid better. My grades were good enough that I could have done anything. Engineering is a good, honorable job and I feel like I accomplish some good every day.

I still get off the ground decent for an old guy, but only if I have all day for the gather. I used to be able to get up in the air so fast.

What is that you want to do, or need to do, that partying gets in the way of? What is important to you?

31 and starting to get feels. However I have taken great care of my self and get told I look young. That's the benefit of being male, your biological clock has a 10 year buffer compared to women in terms of reproduction. However, I can easily see my 31 year old self justifying not being in a serious relationship and then all of sudden its the same arguments, but I'm 41. Thin ice.
Feels good mane being where I want to be financially and health wise though, many 31 year olds already feel defeated in these two very important aspects of being a suitable partner.

Some days I just welcome death when my bones ache, or just a bs day at work. Maybe indifferent is a better word. Losing my hair..like wtf. I always prided myself in my full head if hair.

"One day I won't be able to lift any more. Not I won't want to lift. I mean physically unable. That day could be decades from now or it could be tomorrow. All I know is that's the day I'll wish I could lift more than ever. The day I'd give anything for one more workout, one more set, or one more cardio session. So go hard and enjoy every workout, every set, every rep. Because one day you will wake up and you will never get it back."

Yeah kind of...the worst part is the years keep going faster and faster - then the thoughts of your own mortality, and the realization of how short and insignificant our lifespans (like we think of Ancient Rome being a really long time ago, but...then consider that Earth is Billions of years old - and the universe itself even older...not to mention the KNOWN universe is 93 Billion lightyears across) are can really set in and cause to ruminate.
You aren't even a blink in the overall timeline, and what little bit of time you have is quickly passing you by (though I have hard time believing that this is all we get and it's lights out forever, but that's a whole other topic).

I'm in the camp of aging with grace. I have a ton of gray hair and I'm not gonna dye it. Once I start getting wrinkles and going bald, I'll embrace that as well.
When it comes your time to die, be not like those whose hearts are filled with the fear of death, so that when their time comes they weep and pray for a little more time to live their lives over again in a different way. Sing your death song and die like a hero going home.
