Are you guys delusional about your ages?

Figured this would be a relevant question since the only people who would be on an artifact of the great misc forums would be 33-39

I’ll be swiping on hinge and be matched with a 31 year old

And in my mind I’ll think “wow so old”

But then I’ll realize I’m 5 years older.

Where did the time go really, I wasted my youth, would get hung up on one girl and waste years on her until it didn't work out then move on to another and do the same thing, I either wish I had slept with as many as possible or none at all, I haven't decided which though.

Yeah way delusional and it sucks bad for relationship related stuff knowing your tour is over or if you’re desperate you can settle with some passed around sloot

Most miscers gonna come in here e-stating about hooking up with early 20s chicks but that’s all cope.

It’s completely impossible to build a life with someone now. For the miscers not already married if you’re 35+ you won’t ever have that. Anyone you meet will have had a significant chunk of experiences with other partners.

The rest of life isn’t bad though. Once you wrap your head around this fact you can still enjoy a lot of things and have a lot of fun before you die. I definitely don’t want to live long because of it though. There’s no point being 65+ wandering around without a wife you’ve spent a lifetime with. You’re just sad and alone dealing with old age all by yourself and honestly fuck that. I hope I die within the next 20-35 years (super ded srs)

I agree with you but in saying that I think we’re so far gone we need to get out of our own heads and just say fuck It and not worry about it srs

I definitely don’t act my age , but it caught up with me though. Not happy about fking my heath cause I wanted to rep 225 on bench when I hit 65.
Fked my tendons and soon afterwards fell off my fking ladder making it so I couldn’t lift or do cardio for 6 months , then got diabetes from being inactive .
Faurk , I am disappoint srs. Should just accept being old and buy a cane I guess

I'm not suggesting be a doomer about it. I still have every intention of keeping myself open to finding a relationship with a girl but I also think it's important to be realistic about what it is or will be.

At this point thinking it will be someone to devote my life to and care for who will also be devoted to me seems unwise. The way I look at it now is more about finding someone to enjoy doing things with, but I'm not going to force it to have value (or pretend it has value) that it simply doesn't.

It's kind of like how I still play in a softball rec league. I enjoy it for what it is but I'm not going to lie to myself that I'm a professional athlete and invest in it the same way as if I were a pro athlete.

Maybe not the most perfect example but I hope that makes sense

Even if they do it's transactional and not really what most of us want anyway. Like I said before it's more just about recognizing what it is and adjusting to it. I'm at the age where it simply doesn't make sense to invest a whole bunch of myself in a relationship. I already completely built my life all on my own without someone. No one can bring that value to me navigating life the way they could have if we met while younger.

So that's all I'm saying. I know it sounds negative but it's more about changing perspective to match the situation.

Even in that situation I'd just adapt to what it is. I have no problem spending time with a woman that has a kid but I'm not going to be the kids dad or even really want him around when we hang out.

I recognize most women probably won't hang around too long if I'm not planning to play stepdad and that's fine. That's their choice. I'm still going to make the most of any time we do spend together before they decide I'm not giving enough to the relationship
