Any of you guys notice your AD's using the Rolesor term lately? It's basically Rolex wanting to differentiate themselves from the generic two-tone term that some plated watches are even referred to as. Still seems weird every time I say it.

Had a good look and tried on the yellow gold DD40 today, and it was a perfect fit for me straight out the window; as if it was sized for my wrist. The weight, the size, the proportions, the bracelet, good lord, it was perfect

Looking to buy a new watch to add to my ****ty timex which has served me well for ages now. The problem is that my wrists are small (around 6.5 inches).

I've been looking at a few options, I like the seiko skx007 and some of these MVMT watches (fashion watches, I know…) http://www.mvmtwatches.com/collections/classic

Problem with the above is the case diameters are quite big, and I'm not sure if they would look stupid on my wrist. Other option would be an Orient MAKO which has a slightly smaller case but I'm not as fond of the design.

god dammit, fukn Omega bracelets, i fukn swear to god…

trying to take a 1/3 link out of my SMP, when the pin pusher part of my strap tool breaks off after getting suck inside one of the little collars (anyone with an older smp bracelet knows what i'm talking about), after pushing the main pin out, with half it's length still sticking out into the other main link, meaning that despite taking out the main pin, the link is stuck in place. long story short, i had to just about break the fukn 1/3 link to slide the collar out, so my link now has a fukn 30 degree kink in it

thank fuk my aquis has screws…

*half my posts are drunk, the other half might as well be crew*

Which to choose. Want a blacked out diver. Stuck between an old love and a new one. The breitling avenger blackbird and the seiko spring drive tuna.

The breitling pros- love love love the design, immediately fell in love when I saw it. Super lightweight (tried on yesterday) and thin. Felt amazing on the wrist. Finished better than the tuna. More strap friendly imo.

Cons- $1700 more than the tuna. Not an amazing value for the money.

The tuna pros- great value. Superior, unique movement. Amazing lume. Have owned before and deeply regret flipping it. Love me some tuna.

Cons- a bit thick and not as comfy. Want another grand seiko diver in the future. Not as nicely finished.

For me aesthetics go to the breitling and value to the seiko. Thoughts?

Lol I'm no help because I agree with everything you said. So that's on you. What would make you truly happy? And would you rather start putting that $1700 towards another watch?

Where did you guys buy your Rodinas?

Also looking for a replacement diver for my broken Blue Mako. It was my beater and life got the best of it lol. It's still wareable as a beater imo.

I like the 007 and especially the 009.

I think I want to get a rodina and another diver. Prob going to get some nato straps for the rodina and diver. Was wondering where those are best bought from as well.

Reps

Edit:

I like the Seamasters as far as divers go. Can't afford one though right now/want something to aspire to.

Interdasting. Then why was it turning when I tried it on yesterday? Also 200m water resist. Good lume too.

Spoiler!

You can find vintage military (quartz) Breitlings in PVD for around $300. Granted, they're not super sexy (imo), but for that kind of money you can't miss. I've had a full set PVD Colt M50035, which I bought for $200.

Anything specific you're looking for brah? I always have some simpler, lower priced vintage Omega's for sale, and also thinking of selling some of my more collectible pieces.

Some pics of what might go up for sale (or if you see something on my IG you want, let me know, I might part with it).

To be honest. I keep buying vintage omegas and end up flipping them a short time later. I can't really get myself to hold onto them. Looking for something of higher value. Right now I have a GMT master II and Seamaster 300M Professional. Looking for something in the 3-5k range, but depending on what it is may be up for a cash and trade sort of deal.

Whats been catching my eye lately are jubilee datejusts with blue dials. I am looking for a speedmaster though, if you have one. I really love the broad arrow and i'm actually thinking something along those lines will be my next pickup.

Strong signature to post ratio.

If all you care about is the opinion of others then yes, get an invicta. It's chit. And it's a fashion watch. But it will 100% accomplish your goal. Huge downgrade from an orient day.

I found a speck of dust next to the lume on my speedy. It was there on delivery, but I just noticed it today. It's either dust, or the lume flaking off.

How do I proceed? Can the boutique do the job for me without having to ship this out to Seattle?
