Well we are going on a short weekend trip thurs-sun. Last night we were all on Xbox playing some Destiny talking about booking our hotel and his wife asked how much. Being the weekend obv hotels are more expensive. He tells her what he finds. He proceeds to go on mute and afk for a while.
Comes back to say he has to go.
Texts me and the other guy shortly after saying his wife is raging saying that ALL his purchases have to go through her from now on and she must approve everything they spend and obviously no Vegas for them.
NOTE: He makes the money working for a giant software company in SF so WHAT. THE. FUK

Yes, you would.
You have to put up with this **** or she can take half of your **** plus alimony and whatever else the court awards her.

Have you ever been married? Then got divorced? Or did you just put together all the divorce stories/settlements you read on internet?

And no matter how 'alpha' he tries to be, this cooze knows she has the authority. If the marriage fails, she'll be the beneficiary. She has nothing to lose by being a kunt. In any kind of negotiation deal, a person's ability to walk away unharmed is where most of their leverage comes from. They don't like what they're being offered?...They can threaten to walk away in hopes of a better deal, or they can just leave and take their business elsewhere. Understand this, a man can't walk away from a marriage without being ****ed in the ass by the courts. The contract of marriage completely KILLS a man's leverage.Don't do it, fellas.

You're pandering to the misc and its pathetic
I'm going to go make the opposite of this thread. I'll tell the misc my sloot wife wants to take a sloot trip to Vegas with her friends and blow a bunch of money. In the mean time, we're having problems paying our bills. I'll tell the misc I put that hoe in her place and made her run all of her spending through me
I can't wait to be super misc cool like you bro

But more importantly than that this isn't the first mention of this kind of behavior. He has said he is reluctant to buy a new video game, meals, etc before because he knows when his wife looks at bank statements she will flip due to the items being non essential.

He says NO ...they get into argument...she goes into her room slams the door.... few days later she gets what she wants.... Its either that or DRAMA and my friend just prefers to give in. I was legit there when she gave him the ultimatum either you marry me by next year or i will leave you... Next thing you know they were engaged few months later. I mean thay have been together for like 10 years dating so i could see where she was coming from but one would think its probably not a good idea to force someone to ask you to marry them but girls do it all the time.
Its not only them though ... 98% of the people i know especially guys my age are whipped and behave exactly the way my friend above does. For christ sake even my sister is the head of household. She manages finances , she makes decisions on everything , and she is the boss. I have told my sisters husband many times i dont know how he does it because i am the type of person that i have to be in control of my life.

Not a single pussy is worth losing your pride and dignity as a man for. remember that boyos. these guys get cucked because they've probably been betas from the start of the relationship. let the bitch know from the start what's up. stay in control, never let a bitch control your life. if you stoop that low you're no longer a man. might as well become a tranny.

We have always had separate accounts but any purchases over ~$100 we usually let eachother know.
I'm in charge of all the finances and my wife and I are equally frugal and have the same thoughts on debt, spending etc. Perhaps your friend is an idiot with finances and spends everything he makes.
Thats the thing when you're married, if you are married to an idiot, they can take you down with them. If your wife had a bad spending habit, say gambling for example, would you not step in before she sent the both of you to the poor house?
That said, I can't imagine having my wife "take care" of that for me. I was in good financial shape before she met me, she doesn't feel right about spending someone elses money. Guess I'm lucky to have a wife that respects me.

Intelligent people base their decisions on facts, logic, stats, and second hand accounts of people who've actually experienced it. I don't need to stick my hand in boiling water to know I shouldn't do it.
