people still count calories? high protein, decent carbs and low/ medium fat every meal and watch portion size== gains, not too hard. follow the scale. if you are losing or gaining in a week or two week times.

cutting, reduce portion size of carbs, bulking - increase portion size

no, its just not hard to assume the amount within 100 or so when you eat the same thing every damn day for years or only slightly alter it.

Depends on the day. Today is my low day, so 600. Tomorrow will be 1,700, then 1,500, then 1,300 and it starts over again.

I am also doing IF with a window of 4 pm to 8 pm and low carb (usually less than 50 grams per day). Gotta beat dat dere beetus to lose weight effectively.

Do you guys keep the macro % the same regardless of calories? So if you're 40% protein in a bulk, do you stay at 40% for your cut?

I personally keep the meals almost the exact same, just cut the portions a huge amount and only eat in a 8am to 8pm window instead of a 16 hour window. Im a simple guy, I like to keep things easy.

Did it that way going from 225lb to my current, about 30lbs lighter.

i keep absolute values of protein an fat regardless if i'm bulking or cutting

200 + grams of protein
90+ grams of fat

then whatever until i'm full or hit my calorie max

probably overkill, but I just want to avoid underkill
One of these days I'm going to cut you into little pieces

5'9" 205

Cutting and down from 230 3 months ago.

Higher carbs on workout days lower carbs on rest days. Tend to get 200 grams of protein daily. Carbs and fats change daily. Prettt simple. Added 35 pounds to my total in the last 3 months while cutting. Murica!
