These kids graduate with tons of debt, and their dreams are immediately crushed in their early 20s when they don't get anywhere near the $50k starting salary they were promised. Now, couple this defeat with the ostensible successes of "everyone else you know" on social media - all previous hope seems to be nothing more than a naive pipe dream, and the absence of hope is a one-trip ticket to depression.

Morals of society are destituted that was caused by degradation in our music in our newer generation.

Music scene in america is heavily commercially inflated with nonsensical garbage that teaches kids to either;
rob, gangbang, call women bitches - to top it off there isn't artistic value. No talent that would explain the
reason behind your story, besides trying to capture a audience.

Women are herding sheeps more than ever in history. Nothing but photos and social media status means more to them.
This is where they seek value in things, they can literally judge anything just based on pictures, videos and
then take it more than face value. Relationships are not privatized anymore. People need to prove to others,
women in particular, that their life is somehow worth more than yours on social media.

Because of this people are isolated, filled with contempt, and full of anxiety.

Cold approaching women is seen as a shaming act. Plenty of women would rather see your bank account, or status before introducing yourself to her.
In the event, you're seen as desperate, needy because majority of relationships spawn from social media, where women can again, foresee worth before intimacy.

College is geared towards making people machines, instead of creative, invoking, contributors to society. Ironic that these jobs that pay the most without family work life balance is always haywire. Working 8-12 hour days, 50-250k debt, promising you even can get an interview, or an internship to get a career.

Young men are entirely fuked because of porn, I'm guilty as well, as most men, but as said in this thread men in their 20's early had hd porn at 13. Totally fuked up.

Family life is out the window, you got baby mamas now, marriages favor a woman's best interest in everything involved.

It's probably because people lack a purpose in life and only run after materialistic things. Just because we have everything we need doesn't make our lives meaningless. We have to find true and real problems to solve in this world. I think we are just in a transition of finding problems that need to be solved in life. I believe that the generations after us will identify the solutions ti those problems. It's like we are taking one step back so we can take two/three steps forward. I know what I said is vague, and probably doesn't make any sense. I need to do more reading and studying in order for me to clearly see and identify these paridigms.

This. WTF am I reading ITT lmao. Never had a problem getting friends, sex, jobs, ect. I'm only now depressed because of my low IQ and lack of ambition. Never knew anyone else who had a problem either, and the ones who do are pretty obvious about it. You can usually tell right away when someone is fuked up

Everyone ITT and others who feel as though social media is "killing us" are a bunch of closeted narcissists who are getting jealous of people living better lives than them. This doesn't bother the average joe because he has accepted his lot as a subhuman already and has made peace with himself.

That instinct to survive exists for a reason; because every on this planet has a meaning and serves a purpose. If you think the thousands of years of human achievements are "meaningless", that's on you. No one would look at a baby or a little kid and think "life is meaningless."
