You dont enjoy a good high rep chest workout (8 - 15)?

Well I said there's a good chance...not you definitely will!

I know plenty of people that reached elite level in either strength or physique and eventually grew bored.

Your choice at the end of the day, if you continue doing it, more power to you

I sometimes get these feels. But (for me anyway) it's still enjoyable and doesn't take up too much of my time, so I'm making the most of it. I'd hate to feel like I had to do it and it was more of a chore than a hobby.

Still enjoy it, but the thought of going more than 3x a week just doesn't sit well with me- I've got too much going on, and other interests have taken a higher priority and perhaps I can even say i find better harmony in those hobbies.

Used to be a huge game fanatic for example, but I couldn't sit and play a game now for more than a couple of hours a week, totally off games now. Same thing has slowly happened with the gym.

So far I feel more positive about going into the gym and no longer give many phucks about it.
Been lifting since 14, now 45, had phases of intense interest coupled with a desire to cross train and play sports, Now i still do everything and have a balanced approach. Good times!

I've been lifting for about 25 years, and still enjoy it just as much as when I was in my early teens. Plus at this point I can't stand letting my muscles get soft, it feels unnatural since I've rarely ever taken much of a break from lifting in 25 years.

would enjoy lifting even if progress is slow af cuz.

it's so theraputic for me. i NEED to physically exert myself at least 4-5 days a week or I feel like a piece of chit. Yes sports could be an alternative and some would say its more fun but the same sport 5 days a week will eventually get boring too and especially after experiencing the pump and pushing myself to muscle fatigue with each muscle group individually, its just not the same.

and lifting feels so alpha, ur using your strength to push/pull weight off the ground and probably doing impressive numers too.

im still young so i cant say for sure but I am 99% sure I will be lifting for life. even if i cut it down, i'll still be lifting. whether that be crossfit (no hate, imma take my own pace), olympic lifting, powerlifting, bodybuilding, etc.
just start to periodize your workouts or if you really are making no progress or reached your goals already have some fun and do like 20 sets of benchpress in one day or some chit. or 5 hours of arms. switch things up fam.
lifting really is endless.

not exaggerating but
lifting really has saved my life. i was small af before lifting and just playing video games with no ambition. lifting has made me self acountable, more ambitious (realized what i could do if i put my mind to it), started developing healthy habits because of lifting, more self aware, etc. just overall a better person.
i wouldnt be surprised if i ended up doing a bunch of low life dergs, becoming a 9-5 drone, and playing video games all the time if i didnt find lifting. i dont want to sound egotistical but i am more disciplined than most of my peers and its because of lifting. it has transfered into my personal goals, academic goals, professional goals, etc.
