I'm betting it's fake:

- Don't psychos who make videos like this usually try to draw attention to themselves, like sending it to the police or posting it on the misc

- The video has a sense of drama to it, the perfect tilt of the camera as it faces the door, the girl is exactly facing the camera as it opens, the door slams, "why are you doing this" is pretty cliche and then it cuts off. It's very cinematic and that makes it look rehearsed

- The guy is speaking very confidently and engagingly, exactly like a drama student doing a monologue, also some of his gestures are very cliche psycho, like a bad actor, but that's just my read.

Also, unless the guy in the video is deliberately creating a false story for "Walter" the story he tells doesn't match with what we know of the circumstances of Kayla's disappearance which is the girl the sites are reporting she resembles.

All in all I bet it was a poor joke by 2 drama students. I'm sure we'll know soon and that guy will probably have to make a public apology for distressing the families.

if it was fake - him or the girl or friends of them - would've piped up and contact media/pd by now. Cops woudl've said it was fake and relax.

Boys I reckon this could well be real. Did you read the investigative imgur guy who found the video? His stills showed all sorts from a lock on the outside of the bathroom to what looks like some minor bloodstains. If this was staged, given the low quality of the video, why would you include a heavy duty but not overly obvious outside lock? Or why the very subtle blood looking stains?

The whole thing looks preplanned with this dodgy makeshift bathroom. Why would you make a weird, functioning bathroom for a drama video that hardly anyone before this went viral, would see?
