Had dinner at a Rothchild's house when I was a kid. Yummiest meal I've ever eaten. Dude had giraffes and other animals wandering around his yard. Seemed like a good guy.

Yup. he was a patron at the restauraunt i use to work in. Me and my friend went to germany as graduation gifts to ourselves and he put us in a hotel for 4 days outside munich (Unterschleiheim) that he had some pull in or something. All we had to pay for was food and drinks
he and his wife owned several industrial companies. He made a nice living before that with a company that developed and manufactured software for business touch screens like Positouch

a lot.. most common denominator:

their money afforded them opportunities.

i legit can't think of one rags to riches story despite the fact that they say a lot of millionaires are self-made. all of them were handed money and or afforded opportunities that low-income would not have been. either via a prestigious school ($$$) or any other multitude of things that could allow one to get a leg up

hell, my bro may be one, and his lifestyle was vastly different from mine and my little bros. the '09 stock market phucked us badly and we went from affluent to poor.

pretty easy to tell johnny to go to college, have parents pay for his degree and get a 1st job that pays well above avg.

but pretty hard to tell johnny at 18 to live on his own, pay his bills on minimum wage and expect him not to be indebted to a perpetual cycle. if some form of addiction doesn't get him before then

Yeah my cousin and uncle are both millionaires. My cousin pretty much runs my uncles company because my uncle is old now. My uncle came from nothing and started a business with a guy he met and worked at 711 with (srs) and that company eventually grew and they became super loaded. I'm mirin the amount of connections they have. Dude gets free court side tickets to Knicks games, random Yankee tickets and a bunch of other random chit that people he does business with gives him. It's crazy every time I hang out with him he drops like 200+ on food like it's nothing.

I have several clients and one friend that are millionaires on paper. They own tons of rental properties or successful businesses. They live below their means, drive ****ty cars, no fancy designer clothes. One client I insure owns a custom motorcycle business, he has been featured on the Discovery channel. He has the real-estate and the seven figure bank account that can pull out the million if needed

To be fair.. it wasnt only that. But we lost a bunch of stocks we had in some bank. I dont even know what bank nor how much but it was a lot. That side of the family was frugal but they became much moreso after losing a ton of money

Then we lost a good chunk of $ due to losing a building as well

Which brings up the element of net worth. Still, millionaire aren't that rare these days. Because I've worked in environments they frequent, I've met many. Never met a billionaire though.

This. My dads probably sitting on 4-5 mil of assets but in terms of actual money, he's not very rich at all. He's comfortable enough in that he retired at 42 but in terms of living lavish, he can't.

A millionaire in NYC is middle class

My girlfriends neighbors are pretty modest and they own a 3bd apartment on the west side and a ranch in Connecticut

Gf's step dad makes 600k a year and his family fought over dividing up 12 mil after the grandpa passed. Step dad himself doesn't care about flash and drives a 12k dollar car to work

Another kid I know is self made and made 16 mil from the sale of a company he founded

Me myself am barely getting by, just trying to earn a comfortable living

My partner in business has made a million alone in IT sales. So far with him I've generated over 100k with him. So yes I know a few.

I know this one rich ****er in hollywood hills that built his own house 10 mill next to his parents house.

There family owns the masters to some solid record artists that went platinum in britain.

Chit load of people back in LA that are rich as fuk most were my friends and came from wealth though..

i know lots of millionaires and most of them aren't super tight with cash... making money>saving money, as long as you have large positive cash flow

Does ShayZ count?

In all seriousness I've met a bunch through my work and most are cool and you wouldn't be able to tell if I didn't know because of work. Some are dicks but the same could be said for all the non millionaires I meet. Some of the biggest *******s I meet are poverty brahs/sloots.

Edit: unless someone falls into money they generally have to be somewhat social to gain that success.

We've all probably run into tons of millionaires and even multi-millionaires, possibly billionaires but you never knew because they don't flaunt it.
