It's not a conspiracy. I know there is a lot of casting couch type scenarios in the show business. The industry is a degenerate culture to begin with.

Emma Stone fell off after the introduction of Jennifer Lawrence

i thought Sam Claflin was well on his way to being a superstar after he got the spot in Pirates 4 as the new handsome love interest type guy (Orlando Bloom wasn't in that one). He's done alright and had a role in the Hunger Games movies but i figured he was a sure thing back in like 2011 to be a leading guy by now.

only 30 though still time.

Great post. In the 90s it seemed like they all the opportunity to transition into successful careers post-SBTB. Even Screech could've gotten a couple supporting roles in comedies but nobody really wanted to work with him. And it really seemed like Tiffani Thiessen and Mark-Paul Gosselaar could've gone in a number of different directions despite not being particularly great actors. But when you're that pretty it's not really an issue in this industry. See: Scarlett Johansson, Margot Robbie, etc.

The dumbest decision he ever made.

He turned down $20 million for Superman role and after that his agents/manager quit.

There was article about it and now he does some indie garbage films while struggling to land roles in auditions.

Is this actually true? What the fuk. Dude imo doesn't have the charisma / or even the looks to play superman. So what, he takes the role and then isn't liked so then he can end up like Brandon routh, never to be in a movie again?

Mostly he doesn't even look like superman.

But at the same time tho he could've taken the money and split too.

Edit: You know what? Nevermind. This dude had every opportunity:

- Turned down Superman Returns.
- Infighting with manager and agents cause of this.
- Turned down being Batman. (Which suits him much better.)
- Because of this, Nolan didn't want him in The Prestige.
- He now has to fight for roles and moved to Minnesota.

Better question is how the hell did Jennifer Lawrence and Margot Robbie become famous?
They're are millions of sloots out there who are more attractive with more talent than both of them combined...

Not only that.

Christopher Nolan called him up to be Batman and he turned it down. No wonder hollywood black listed him.

"The flowers bloom, then wither... The stars shine and one day become extinct. This earth, the sun, the galaxies and even the big universe, someday will be destroyed. Compared with that, the human life is only a blink, just a little time. In that short time - people are born, laugh, cry, fight, are injured, feel joy, sadness, hate someone, love someone. All in just a moment. And then, are embraced by the eternal sleep called death."

She's above average, I'll give her that. The fact that she's been outspoken about wanting to be paid more than other lead actors in her films makes her seem like such an entitled **** though.

How are we defining 'big'? I see a lot of people in here naming solid a-list actors.

Not every successful actor is going to be Will Smith...

I'm sure a lot has to do with scientology and the **** producers, and a lot of actors not wanting that type of ****, so they're blacklisted.

Also, the actual GAY chit that goes down.

Is that who you think of when you think of a-list actors? Smith hasn't even been in a decent film since 2008.

honorable mention goes to Rich Piana: He gave up on acting when hollywood kept trying to typecast him in teenager and early 20's roles
-Yelchin was in a lot of indie movies, so I'm assuming that's where his heart lay. He was also only 27 when he died, so who knows what his career trajectory would have been.
-Emile Hirsch, while talented, just doesn't have the looks to be a star. He's also listed as 5'7, so he's probably actually only 5'5 or something, which is a bit too short.
-Cilian Murphy is similar to Hirsch in that his looks are a bit off from the Hollywood ideal. A lot of his roles have been that of the unsympathetic bad guy, so that also didn't help with his mainstream appeal. He's doing well for himself though on Peaky Blinders. However, he hasn't gotten a lot of awards attention for that role, even from the BAFTAs. That sort of thing matters to producers. Sure, he's been in a lot of films by high profile directors, but with the characters he's had in those movies, he hasn't really had his chance to shine. Just looking at his most recent "big films," they have all been huge ensemble pieces. It's easy to get lost in the fray.
