OP got blocked from actual real friens in life, posts walls of book on how to achieve success, I'll admit it's 350 times better than another FA thread where makes me feeling that personal communication is so hard for some of you, I think it's a lack of effort, fear of rejection, and lack of confidence...u must work on those as much as the big 3 lifts...good day sweet prince

I'm lonely but for someone whose company I really enjoy, not for the general socializing that most people like.
Months or years of socialising may be what's needed to meet that one person.
As well, maybe you don't like socialising for the same reason many people don't like doing this or that - you're not very good at it. But if you do it more you'll get better.
Again I point to the book about introverts,Quiet. In this the authour makes the point that an introvert becomes an extrovert when talking about their favourite hobby or work. So you may enjoy socialising more if you're doing it through something you like, like the OP and his Spanish language.

Wow, this thread couldn't have come at a better time for me.
I actually did a lot of what you talked about in this thread my senior year of high school/first semester of college. I was already in really good shape from sports, but by taking better care of my appearance, and making an effort to go out more and make new friends outside of my little circles, I ended up with a great social life, talked to tons of girls, felt like I was on top of the world etc etc..
But then I went through so much **** through undergrad, I can honestly say I was just thinking today that it sucked the life out of me. Don't get me wrong life has definitely been great for a few periods of time since, but I have been getting down on myself lately about living at home, working all through school, doing a STEM degree, and only socializing with people from my home town for the past several years. I was at a bar the a couple months ago after finals where a lot of people I used to party and hang out with back in my first semester at the dorms were hanging out at and I remember it hitting me how much I missed out on the whole "college experience".
Now my friends from high school are slowly but surely starting to settle down, and it had me feeling really nervous about the future. Did I really just spend the last 4 years of my life busting my ass and being broke just for all my friends to start settling down right when I'm finally about to actually start life? Did I dun goof?
This thread is remind for me, especially having done it before, how much power we have to create the sort of life we want for ourselves, and the steps to get there. Right now I'm feeling extremely fortunate to still have a year of undergrad left. Gonna focus on making it a great one and setting myself up for the sort of lifestyle I want to have.
Getting started by organizing my room this week...

been lonely most of my life despite being introverted I do have strong extroverted tendencies finally decided to buckle down and start self improving getting to a pretty good point self improvement wise but i'm still pretty lonely. lately i've been trying to get better at interacting with people since I spent time becoming a better person. trying to come up with a strategy on how to start meeting more people. Obviously you meet people by introducing yourself but I don't run into to many people I would talk to. Hopefully in the future i'll be prospering with many "friends" untill then I got a lot of work ahead of me.

It's a good thread, but making a conscious effort to make friends with strangers just because of your own loneliness is a ridiculous notion.
Funny as well because if they happened to meet the men they lust after on social media, the facade gets shattered and they realise they don't want him, but the guy that was in his pictures and video clips.

I do have a couple of friendships that I maintain but I don't want any more. Friendships cost resources like time, money, energy, calories etc. I'd much rather just do my own thing. But I am very lonely for a relationship.

Good thread OP, not breaking new ground per sé but still practical and well structured. I'm in the UK, London, and have given Meetup a good go recently wanting to meet new ppl, I have the problem now of meeting the kind of ppl I want to meet lol, those on the same wavelength with a good enough sense of humour, some depth etc.

"Wisdom cannot be imparted. Wisdom that a wise man attempts to impart always sounds like foolishness to someone else ... Knowledge can be communicated, but not wisdom. One can find it, live it, do wonders through it, but one cannot communicate and teach it."

99% of dudes have a major flaw in their fashion sense, they have shiit haircuts, they have weak frame, they are double digit bodyfat, they don't have money, etc.. all they really have is personality, I'll give them that.
I honestly (100% srs) have only seen a handful of "Chads" with attractive women by their side. Misc is completely delusional.

I just can't see myself trying to talk to random people to make friends. I have to work with them or something. I will never be the guy who randomly approaches people because it looks weird and reeks of loneliness

GOAT thread. Loved your skincare one too. Do you take requests? Would you be willing to do one of these on strictly dating and women? The way you broke this thread up step by step is absolutely perfect, and I think one similar on dating would be incredibly beneficial.

I feel like my thread was tailor-made as a New Year's idea. If it needs a bump around then I'll try to add some more stuff

i tried, OP. but it doesn't seem to work out. i've been alone for too long. my brain can't make these connections anymore. i can't relate. it's like trying to make a feral child speak.
good luck to the rest of y'all though.
i'm going to try and focus on doing activities outside, and be active. but active and alone.
this way, i can still live some form of life
