Had to trade in my truck to save some money, got a 2015 Avalon w/TSS package for 20k. Handles great, looks sharp, plenty of power, and NO MAINTENANCE. After all the ****ty cars I've ever owned, it'll be nice not to have to worry about miscellaneous crap.

its not that bad if you have an reliable german indy in town. have had 2 porsches and now have 2 audis that are both now out of warranty at this point.

in addition, we have one audi with 100,000 miles on it and one with 65,000 miles on it...anything that is a recall (what they call a campaign) is free with a loaner even after warranty of course. and they seem to have done a good job classifying the common issues as recalls/campaigns. They also reprogram your ECU and TCU when they do it to the current version.

the 100k: 1 A/C sensor replaced, $40

the 60k: no out of routine maintenance issues whatsoever

knock on mutherfukking wood. of course they are both A6 3.0Ts which is probably their best engine/trans combo in forever.

To the OP, as someone who has Audi's and have driven all the options you presented...that A8 is a whole different car than the rest. That being said, if you wait and go with a 2013 you get the supercharged 3.0 or the 4.0 and can tune that boat into a 4 door race car.

anyway not arguing with the misc on car brands, but just providing a data point for OP and as someone who has owned either a porsche or audi for the last 8 years, I would not be scared of the maintenance.

my wife now has her eye on range rovers and that does in fact scare the piss out of me though.

You have no business spending 30k+ for a car unless you already own a house and have a significant stock portfolio.

Otherwise get a 12 year old TL for 5k:

Get the Lexus. I've had an IS 250 for a few years and have had little to no issues. Interior is great and reliability is excellent.

none. you're 26, you don't need to be down 40k + expensive ass insurance for a car that will eventually be worth nothing. you haven't built that kind of financial base to drop 40k on a car

and having a nice car won't get you pussy
