millennials are the smartest, most caring, energetic generation ever in the worst economy.

back in the day if you worked labor you actually had the chance to become the CEO in 15 years, now those kinda jobs use the revolving door employment model where they work the fuack out of you for a few months and cycle in new employees.

75% of all part time jobs use the revolving door employment model with zero benefits/ noadvancement, so all those jobs are basically temp.

I'm sure being told generally "go to college and you'll make more money" has something to do with it

Go to college and major in a marketable skill/area/etc. like engineering, CS, healthcare, business admin, accounting, etc. and you'll make more money yeah

The crappy part is this piece of advice seems to only be common sense on misc.

money will always be made if you have the views. merchandise and 3rd party advertisements still make big $$$. also dont forget about donations and patrons/crowd funding that every youtuber has.

also, a lot of those cucks need to CUT THE MIDDLE MAN, and create their own website. you can set your own rules and have so many more options for making money.

How is telling people to live frugally so they can afford the essentials in life a "terrible argument"? If you can't afford a smart phone, don't own a smart phone. If you can't afford the newest, latest tech, don't buy it. Live within your means. Explain the problem with this rationale.

We started working at the same time, but i started out doing $8/hour as a biochem degree lol. The pay was so low I had to work 3 jobs to pay my bills.

Yea man was a rough time for a lot people. Friend of mine had a biomedical engineering degree but had to humble himself and work graveyard at target loading trucks. He had to explain what the degree meant to the lady interviewing him lol.

I'm not unsympathetic to people in this thread. The education system is a sham. Student loans are modern day wage slavery. Wages have been stagnant since at least the 70's. These are facts.

Having said that, my advice is to find a way to win against all odds for the time being, fight the powers that be later. The blame game is counter productive and it's why I hate both libtards and trumptards. Enough blame, it's time for solutions. Let's fix this chit instead of pointing fingers and fixing this world starts with myself as an individual.

I started at 36k after uni and in 4 years hit 6 figures. Sure I was bummed about my low starting wage but I accepted my fate and made it my mission to learn how to create value and move up the ranks.

My successful millenials friends all have one thing in common..we paid our dues, learned useful skills, and applied those skills to market ourselves.

It's either you have connections/access to high paying careers or you learn useful skills that you can monetize. I'm really not sure why ppl don't understand this concept.

The main gripe I have with the current economy is that real estate has been commoditized and inflated to crazy proportions. I'm a single male that makes more than double the Canadian household median income of $79k.

After taxes, about 60% of my take home pay is used to pay for my 650square foot condo that I purchased for $800k. Last year my condo went up 24%, this year it'll be about the same if not more. If I bought this year or next i definitely couldn't even afford a 650square foot condo on my income. For comparison, a rundown detached house goes for minimum of $2million.
