Was leaning towards Bathory and de Rais, but can't really say what's history and what's legend. Fascinating stories though.

I'll go with Jack the Ripper.

Never hurt women or kids and mostly killed p.o.s. criminals. Didn't seem to do too much harm to the general public. I can respect him for taking out quite a bit of trash.

Don't think that's quite right, assaulted his wife numerous times and stabbed her. Killed at least a couple of random people to show off to his boss.

This....I got my psychology credit from a criminal psychology class and we had to do a serial killer profile.
