Youre only 37.
Youre only born in 1980.
I thought you said you were an old guy?

I think the OP did take his assumptions a couple of steps too far but there is absolutely no problem with giving and receiving advice at any age.
I wish more older men were open to giving advice to young men instead of chitting on them. I also wish young guys listened more. It's partly genetic, being a man we're born with some of this macho bullchit, but as I'm got older I personally tried to get over it. You're 42 bro, I'm sure you can give some good advice to young people. Don't hold out on them just because some of it may fall on deaf ears.

Unfortunately, you can't just go up to a girl and chat her up as easily nowadays. It isn't a part of culture anymore and is just seen as weird. I'm only 26, but I'm lucky enough where I didn't have to take an interest to social media (I snatched up a girl 8 years ago so I gave up really early, heh). I'm taking some accounting classes in the nearby community college to learn payroll, and some of the younger bros now ask for your IG handle instead of your number. One of them looked at me like I was a serial killer when I told him I don't have an account, srs.
Your advice sadly won't work anymore in today's culture. A good amount girls prefer to filter dudes through tinder, and the rest meet guys through friends or work (which is the closest we'll get to the old days). The best advice that can be given to a young man during this day and age is to tell them to expand their social circle, go out to more social gatherings, and to meet girls that way instead of on a dating app.
cliffs:
-op not old
-regardless, times have changed
-expand social circle and go out more if you want to meet girls the old-school way

And I knew I'd be received as old-fashioned here in making this thread (I was right). So I thought I'd lean into that rather than get hit with it by others, thus facilitating an actual conversation.
I think it kinda worked?

i don't think online dating sites are any diff than real life , 95% of em are sloots , there is a good one somewhere , doesn't make it a bad method
i'm 51 ,oddly , before i read this post i was thinking , i keep looking and it keeps getting me more down at the quality and games
prob time to just get off those sites and face the fact i'll be alone for a while and just stop thinking about a partner all together

Fist yourself prick. I've got a great woman and would never let some 37 y/o tool who's probably getting cheated on tell me how to find a woman.

op is 100% right.
i'm a 5/10 at best but i've smashed 8s and 9s purely from real life interactions - you would not find these sloots on dating apps, one sloot i'm smashing at the moment only now has a smartphone after i pushed her to get one.
i'm direct and can hold a decent conversation, this holds more weight than your ****go tinder or instagram account. could not imagine online dating, feels fake and gay.
Never take it personal, even when it is.

word.
I meet lots of girls and i'm just fun, bit silly and act like i really don't care (abundance). Women love a guy like that . STOP BEING CREEPY.
That means put down the youtube videos and start being normal. Be fun. Have something going on in your lives, don't be broke, lift and be a high value guy.
Never say anything to a girl you wouldn't dare say to a girl in person. Too many FA's are fa's cuz they're fukking creepy and weird. Just be normal. I'd like to see a NormalGuyPUA channel sometime.

So for those of you who were still in elementary school during that time, let me explain what it was like to you: We met women in person. We had to be proficient with actually speaking to them and getting their attention through our words, actions, and actual appearance (not a filtered, angled photo on a dating site under perfect lighting).
We went out on a date, where we had to again make an impression. The other side of that coin is that so did she.
Why should you care? I just wanted to comment on this little dance that millennials often do where they meet on these dirty little dating/sex sites trying to get laid. Half the time you're just talking to a perverted dude, and that's a guarantee. You're sending a picture of your cock to a hairy dude whose pretending to be a girl. How does that make you feel?
Think about this: If you were a woman, would you want to be with/date somebody who texts out pictures of his dick? Likewise, why would you associate with a female so classless as to send nude pictures, whether through text or whatever messenger? I know it goes without saying, but if she'd send them to you online, she's sent them to a hundred dudes before, and no telling how many she's been with.
Why not show some class for yourself and expect some back. Be the kind of person who expects more from yourself and of your potential mate.
And don't tell me that all women are "sloots" or some other dumb coping mechanism you guys have come up with to explain your own inabilities to get with a proper woman. I promise you they exist and if you want one, you have to be the kind of person that she would want first. And a person skanking around on plenty of fish isn't that guy.
Cliffs-
-If she'll send nude photos to you, she;'s sent them to everybody else too
-Have some class if you expect to find a classy woman
-Don't do it online like a *******: Go out in the world and meet people.
-Ladies there's a message in here for you, too.

I know some dudes who date EXCLUSIVELY off of tinder, which i think is detrimental to their social life. What's wrong with doing both, OP?

Social media has made dating so much easier. Follow a girl on IG, like her posts. If she likes yours you message her and Meetup. Way easier than going out and trying to spit game at them

My criticism is more about the people here who go to skanky dating sites asking skanks for nudes and then wonder why all women are "sloots."
I would still argue that there are decent people out there (especially in the real world, but probably online, too), but too many people now don't realize it because of where they are looking.

Lol at thinking just because you married before social media that it will have any impact on spouse using social media to potentially cheat and send out vag pics to everyone.

I also miss feminine qualities in women. I'm not trying to date a dude with teds and a poos. Please stop pretending you like football, beer and other stereotypical male activities. Put on a dress and be warm and soft.

Yeah I remember dating in 2002. The difference is women had FAR less options in the early 2000's without social media and dating sites, meaning if you met someone and there was attraction + chemistry, there was a strong chance you'd smash (at minimum) and enter into some kind of courtship. Now attraction and chemistry mean very little because all the best looking men are just a swipe away on tinder. It was all downhill after MySpace..

Good advice sir. Deleted the apps and never went back. Had this nagging feeling that if I kept them, I was going to miss out on someone special from being distracted by whoever I met there. We'll see if the instinct was correct.
